Nice work on relocating the box you show at 0:46. Will say with it in the upside-down orientation you have, you'll want to add a sealant to what is now the top of the box where the wires enter to keep water from making it's way inside.

8:15 that method of mounting the a hard-line between the thermostat and the engine looks like the kit sold by SakeBomb. It has been known to cause problems on other RX7s. I'll reply to this comment with a link to an rx7club forum thread 'AN Fitting to Oil coolers keeps coming loose'

IMO if people are complaining about "why its not running yet" have no idea how rare the parts for an FD RX7 really are. Doing great Tanner and the FD is going to be a ripper when she is completed. Also a wrap in the dark blue color that came factory on a very small amount of these cars would be sweeeeettt. Basically the color of Rob Dahms FD it would look sick AF with the white wheels. Just my opinion though and I know no matter what you do its still going to be badass.

Back when I had my 93 RX7-R1 we did power steering delete kits and or converted to a manual rack. Did you look into the R1/R2 factory fitted dual oil cooler stock setup? Those JDM emblems look 100% better. Yes the factory clear coat problematic especially and the front of the car there was a Mazda TSB on it back in the day. Some cars were repainted under warranty. The beautiful thing about the FD RX-7 is with the correct wheel size and backspacing you can fit 275/295 rear tires fitted inside the wheel wells with a standard track alignment. My buddy did custom-ordered wheels and I believe he fit 305's. If you run those wheels with wrong backspacing the car is going to handle like s***, prematurely wear out your tires and not get full traction to launch hard off the line. If you end up rolling the wheel wells and or using spacers and some crazy camber alignment to make these wheels work that is going completely in the wrong direction IMO for this chassis.

Traded my 02 bugeye in, for a 3rd gen Cummins. And damn I thought the cars are expensive. Swear it’s 10k for anything just because diesel. Can’t wait to hear the rotary to fire. There are pros and cons to both parrallele and series, series can have pressure drop, while in parrallel you might have a single rad working, keep in mind oil will go to where it is easiest to go, so you might have a single rad working (worst case), i would run series and have my tuner put in safeties in case of pressure drop

if your that worried about the oil temp, can't you take a couple of the intercooler water sprayers from the older sti's and mount those on the oil coolers and when you see them get a little toasty just give em a squirt

Happy ~ BrraaaAApp 🎵 BrraaaAApp ~ soon? -Don't be surprised by how fast you can run out of fuel pump/injector especially (premix ain't thin) -Try to heat cycle maintain the exhaust (like short drive, check, medium drive, check, etc) to check for vibrations and burning stuff. -Don't f around and trust pump E-85 unless you test it on location. -Check fuel filter within first couple start to ensure nothing missed your attention.

Pettit is pronounced like Reddit but with a P. I actually know Cam personally and I’m about an hr from his shop here in WPB. Also, use his premix if not use redline. Protek premix he sells smells like race gas when the engine is running. I can go on about Cams shop considering I’ve been there many many times to bullshit at the shop. Free work just to be in there. Also, fan/water temp switch. It’s a 185 degree switch unlike the oem 220. It’ll over heat if you use the 220.

If you run into any snags on the base map I'd actually suggest to reach out to Jimmy's boys Stevie or RJ to get in contact; as far as he let on he did a spitball street map on that FC and it loved it right from the start. That's pretty impressive for a first rotary build. Beats trying to get on a waiting list for Vargas or whoever else is a big name in the dorito scene. And Jimmy's a pretty humble dude, he'd probably be down for a mini collab.

No Keep it silver!!! Plz!!! Just make it hella clean. Freshened lenses/lights/etc make a big difference, as does not interior clean-up/enhancements. Spend that vinyl money on a super nice shifter that is buttery smooth, or keep to side for things that pop up in future ya want to actually upgrade.
