You deserve so many more subscribers! I've primarily been a Windows user for 16 years and haven't used a Mac as my main machine since about 10.5 Leopard. It's been so long that Mac OS now feels foreign to me. However, your stellar content has helped me make the switch to Mac full time again and feel more confident in doing so. Your videos are well written, well researched, unbiased, and welcoming, and is why I recommend your channel to anyone needing to learn anything Mac. Your video on how to setup a new MacBook has been wonderful; I'll be referencing that when my M1 comes in the mail. I thought that I knew enough being a computer science student, but your videos always teach me something new! Thanks for being awesome.

What resolution do you get on that monitor? That is not very good ... my 27-inch iMac has 5120 x 2880 res ... and it really makes a difference ... that 1440 vertical res is half that which means web pages do not display very well, or video.

Nice, but I don't like what you said about plants. If a plant distracts you maybe you have some kind of ADHD ... I mean, come on, really? Technologically that is nice though. It is kind of sad though that even the Mac Minis are so expensive these days, and they really are not that great, but they work for an all around utilitarian desktop machine. Also ... you really need at least 10 TB of disk and backup.
@MrRobotoDomo3 жыл бұрын
You can mount the PC below the desk via some brackets, and use the LG Ultrawide Split Screen monitor which will allow you to connect both Windows and Mac simultaneously. You'll still end up with that same clean desk.

no external gpu, no external storage that has raid 5 redundant capability for video assets, no height adjustable desk, the only one spotting-point is , you have lcd illumination lamp, single LCD monitor is not enough for me, but MacOS has easy to switch virtual desktop by 3 fingers, maybe it's okay

Dell ultrawides are the best. I got 3 of them with my Windows desktop machine. Although Mac mini looks great, it just doesn't have the power that I need. I chew up even 16GB of RAM fairly easily. 8GB on MBA M1 is fine since its not my main machine, but I think 32GB is really the minimum for my main machine. Currently using 17.3GB of system RAM and GPU also using 3.4GB of dedicated VRAM. So even 16GB of shared RAM would very likely not be enough for me 😂 And BTW this is without any games or video encoding running in the background. I'm just a heavy multitasker...

Hey! Just a suggestion: would love to see a video of software you use on a daily basis on your Mac! For example, I was curious what your opinion was on “maintenance” software, like Clean My Mac for example. I’m hesitant to buy software like that because I’m not sure if it’s really necessary, especially on a brand new M1 MacBook. I haven’t used a Mac in ages so I’m pretty much a beginner. Cheers!

How are you finding the monitor arm on a 34"? i have a 34" ultra wide with the pole to the far right of the monitor so it's clean underneath it but im finding im getting a lot of wobble due to the arm being extended out and the weight of the monitor and not really wanting to drop big $$$ on one.

This is really looking great and a bit diferent than every other KZbinr "dream 2021 productivity desk setup (tm)" ! However, the desk placement does not seem ideal vs the window which cause glare. I'd try with the desk against the window side so you sit in front of the window.
