Thanks for sharing your video and describing the tools you had in it and that you use. I just got the Audio Mod and I used it twice riding my bike. I am a DJ and the mic sounded pretty good! It made a huge difference on the sound quality of what was around me. I couldn't believe how clear my voice sounded. I had a bird fly by me chirping loudly and I could hear it moving around in surround sound on my laptop. That blew my mind. 2nd time I used it, I was in high winds and I could hear myself talking clearly on the mic and the wind was suppressed a lot. With just the GoPro 8 the mic is on the front so, it's more for noise in front of the camera. With just using the GoPro 8 by itself, I heard the winds and when I spoke, my voice could barely be heard. There is a huge difference using the Audio Mod. I love it!

When I bought my hero 3+ years ago I bought online a large $20 generic case for my gorpro, it took a month to get and it was the biggest mistake, I remember putting all my accessories inside and I couldn't close the bag, it was too crowded the case wasn't wide enough, so the zipper didn't want to close. 2 yrs later I gave up on the stupid thing and bought the same GoPro case you are showing here, the best $50 case for the camera and all his accessories!!..

Suggestion. Get a cheap micro fibre cloth and wrap your lens in it. Added level of protection and doesn't take up any more space.

I still use my GroPro 2 and 5. For newer cameras I actually went to mirrorless and a Magic 2 Pro. All still work to give me complete picture of what I’m looking for.

Alright. You forgot to take a small, very fine, HQ micro fiber cloth. Its amazing how easy the lens and display are soon covered in oily finger prints. lol

Gopro hero 8 charger can also charge Max battery as well!!. I have tested the Max battery in Hero 8 with no issue.(Just cannon close the door)

I have the same GoPro travel case. It’s great. Compact yet carries a lot while being very protective. My kit is pretty much the same except I still have the Hero 7 and the Insta360 one X instead of the GoPro Max. I want to upgrade to the Hero 8, but I am a little nervous about the non removable lens cover. When packing your 8, do you have any cover you can put over it?

Yes it does come in quite handy if you want more reach or more stable tripod. Also I find if you’re doing winter activities if you’re wearing thick gloves it’s easier to grip with the larger unit

My biggest struggle is wagging the GoPro karma gimbal. It’s own case is great but I have a minimal kit like yours and throwing the gimbal into my carry on just destroys any hope of feeling minimal. 🤪 But I love and die by that gimbal.

That's more GoPro gear than I own lol in a minimalistic kit. All you need is Hero8, mediamod, grip, batteries, charger, cable, and sd card.

I find the Red filter a waste of money and time. I messed up so many shots with a red filter. Drop the filter and just film. Everything can be corrected in post-processing
