I dated a man for a few years that was 12 years older than me, I was only 18. He was such a total asshat that abused the fact that I was so naive and trusting. He definitely broke that which was a good thing I guess. I stayed single after the few years of mental and emotional abuse. Then I met my husband and he was everything my ex wasn’t, kind, loving, supportive and most of all, honest.
