the guy who made this ( i think the owner of stl ) said he made it because he wanted to play ballad of the wind fish right on this type of ocarina. WHAT A CHAD 😂

I love this ocarina, but it is a bit difficult to play the chambers simultaneously, its awesome to see an ocarina creator review it! btw, mine came with an online fingering chart maybe they can re-send you the link if you wanted to view it.

i was going to get the single one of this then i saw this one on the website and it just looks way cooler and i could always use it as a single if wanted

It does look really cool! But it sounds like a bit of a headache to play and definitely not something for beginners to start with. And being high breath pressure would be out for me as well. Ever since getting Covid and almost dying from it about a year and a half ago, I still don't have the lung capacity like I did before, so I'd need something that required less air to play longer and more reliably.

I'm sure you probably already know this, but Bass Ocarinas (normally...?) require lower breath pressure if you're looking for something easier on your lungs! Happy that you survived Covid, that must've been awful

@@dumblebug2486 Thank you! I am too, in a way. It was awful. I hate to play it up but the real reason it got so bad was I ended up with Covid, double pneumonia, and three blood clots in my right lung, all at the same time. My body is still trying to recover from it. The damage is still there but at least the clots are gone. I didn't know that bass ocarinas required lower breath pressure, so that is news to me! Actually, since I posted this comment, I ended up finally caving and buying the Kokiri Edition ocarina from Songbird and have been playing it. I've only had it for a bit over a week but it doesn't seem too bad with breath pressure. The high notes require a bit more blowing than the lower notes, but it could be worse. Sometimes I need to take a little break but it's nothing too strenuous. I'm actually hoping that I might be able to use it as a little fun therapy to help improve my breathing. It's certainly a lot more fun than using one of those breathing apparatuses you get in the hospital. XD And honestly, even though I'm not that good at it yet, I'm already having fun with it! 😊

I think I'm with the cat on this one.

What do you think of the single 8 hole extended version of this one? It looks neat to have the range of a 12 hole in a pendant. Thanks ☺️

It's neat! There are a couple odd compromises to get the 12 hole range, but if you prefer playing pendants over 12-holes, I'd definitely recommend it

Are you going to review the stl wood ocarina? No one seems to have reviewed it yet.

I'm interested in seeing a review of the Odami plastic ocarina. I found it listed on Etsy and I think the colors of many of these ocarinas are gorgeous and I'm curious to see your thoughts on it

I don't know if mine is bad or I'm covering holes wrong, but I feel a HUGE breath pressure jump between the lower chamber F and G notes. Did you have the same experience?

I think I like 6 holes better because every time im playing my 12 hole my left pinky cramps it ruins the song im playing.
