Ring the bell is one of the most versatile exercises in the series. It helps establish posture and the appropriate bow angle at the most difficult point to keep a straight bow-- the tip. It demands that you get clear, powerful articulation up there and warms up the whole bow length by following through past the frog. I start most lessons off with this exercise to help the mind become more aware of the body and to get the bow arm moving.
