A.Dixon, Gotta say, what an amazing collection ! I reckon mainly cd.s in part 1,right. So great to see those original Beatles ,discs- I kinda remember when they were in stores, inside those cardboard long boxes, remember? So nice 2 see somebody else with some Adam Ant& even Sigor Ros, at the house! Lookin' forward Andrew to,checking out ,some artists you've highlighted that know little about,but have heard of. Thanks Michael! Adam & The Ants were probably my first major band when they were huge, loved them! We didn't really get long boxes in the UK, never ever seen one in a shop here! Plenty of vinyl to come in part 2, but nowhere near as much as the CDs!

Thanks for tour Andrew, My major artists I collect other than the beatles are the Stones ,the kinks ,elvis Costello ,beach boys and Elton Johns seventies albums. I,m older than you so my teen years were collecting the Jam .I bought In the City single and then was a passionate fan till they broke up and bought everything as it came out. I agree the Housemartins were a great band and Ogdens is a great album by the Small faces

Cheers David, I only really started to hear of The Jam at around the point they were about to break up so I didn't really devote much time to them until the late 90s. Ogden's blows my mind, it's immense.

Love to see your library. We share a lot of similar taste in music outside of our beloved Beatles. Bowie, Kula Shaker, Fleet Foxes, Pet Shop Boys, Cure. My only surprise, is when you went through the Fabs solo CD’s. There was no Ringo solo CD’s. (?) Look forward checking out your other wall. Viewing this has prompted yours truly to better organize my collection on the shelves.

Andrew Dixon Alright! Now I can rest my mind. We can’t neglect Ringo. 😂 BTW- I personally think it’s a good idea to keep your records in those plastic covers. I have been using them for many years. The album covers are definitely maintained nicely after many years.

Hi Andrew. Very impressive collection. A broad variety of artists and music. A lot of eighties, ninenties music. Was that the time you grew up? A collection you can be proud of. Looking forward to part 2. I like some Coltrane like Blue Train and Soul Train and Davis' jazz, like Sketches Of Spain, Bitches Brew and off course Kind Of Blue. By the way .... I gave Radiohead - OK Computer, but I must admit there is no click. Hey ..... enjoy every minute in your music room. The upcoming Friday I'll be in Liverpool and I will fly back home on Monday. This time I will visit The Magical Beatles Museum in Mathew Street. Last year I was in Liverpool was 2 weeks before opening of the museum. This year the same goes for Strawberry Field. It will open in about 2 weeks. So again....... . But that means anither visit in 2020.

Hi Pe, yes 80s and 90s were my time growing up so of course a lot of affection for that era! You tried Radiohead, great! It's not for you no worries. Have a great time in Liverpool! What happens at Strawberry Fields, do they open the building to the public? Didn't realise there was a specific attraction there other than looking through the railings at the building from the road side!

Incredible amount of cd's ....really glad to see you enjoy Coltrane and Miles Davis & Thelonious Monk...Kate Rusby, love her song... The Wild Goose...excellent Dylan collection.... wondered why you didn't have a larger Sting collection outside the Police? I really enjoy the fact of his use of so many instruments and his guitar mate Dominic is awesome as well very talented. Also, no James Taylor, Loreena McKennitt, Chicago, or Journey? Do you enjoy Blues as well mate?

Most of the blues we enjoy are basically from folks like little Walter, sonny boy Williamson, james cotton, muddy waters, howling wolf, Rosetta Tharp, bb king, buddy guy, Johnny Lee hooker, Elmore James, willie dixon, son house, t bone walker, Johnny winter, lightning hopkins love booker t & the mg's , Robert cray, lead belly, taj mahal, Mississippi john hurt , and Bobby blue bland

PUBLIC SERVIVE BROADCASTING are a wonderful band. I love them to bits. Such brilliant music. Also YOU MUST give one more to to JOHN COLTRANE'S Ascension. This music makes a lot of sense. Just read some Wikipedia article on this album where you can find the outline of the structure of the whole piece. Fantastic album. Genius !!!

You can also listen to the only live rendition of Ascension on John Coltrane's Live in France album in Quartet configuration and be able to admire the sheer melody and composition without all the chaos of the big group that recoreded the original. www.discogs.com/John-Coltrane-4tet-Live-In-France-July-2728-1965/release/6585152

Thanks Andrew! No, I haven't seen it, and have read nothing but poor reviews of it in the past. Neil Innes has also been very critical of it, he said Eric Idle made it without any involvement from him at all. How can you have a Rutles film without Ron Nasty!?

Hi Andrew just caught this vid. As well as releasing the remastered Let It Be Movie next year wouldn't it be great if they finally would release Anthology onto Blu Ray, Widesceen and cleanned up as there is a few artifacts from the System Conversion i.e. NTSC TO PAL or vica versa.

Hi Dave, they were from Argos in the UK. Unfortunately they don't seem to do that range any more so it might just be a case of finding whatever you can that's looks most alike.

You're Beatles section looks like mine - group followed by solo releases. You could replace most of your Bond collection with the white box set that came out a couple of years ago. It would save you 80 percent of that shelve space. I have to ask...no Rolling Stones?

I thought Coogan did really well in the Laurel & Hardy film a few months back, really enjoyed that. Only just recently started watching some Seinfeld, but been more recent stuff. I expect I will give the TV show a proper go at some point.

@@AndrewDixonMusic I,ve just read a book by Pauls step mother Angie McCartney. Its a completely biazzare part of the Beatles story which I didn't know about .She was asked to leave the family home once Pauls father died and didn't seem to be incorporated into the Paul family at all. In fact I detect she is as well thought of as Heather Mills lol. Few books mention her or Pauls step sister ruth either. They seem to have almost lived from hand to mouth for many years only being mentioned when paul objected to ruth selling his birth certificate on ebay!. Ruth believe it or not then became a pop star and toured the SovietUnion! Now she seems high up in Silicon valley and PaulsStep mother sells teas on line Who needs the Rutles. Do you know anymore about this woman and daughter?

@@AndrewDixonMusic it was initially her autobiography the long and winding road but the I looked through as many books about Paul if I could find out anymore. On you tube there is a clip of his stepsister singing.(its terrible!) I suspect the Macca family saw her as a cash grabber who manipulated Pauls father. The book suggests that she was also Gary Glitters manager and Ruth had a relationship with Dudley moore . I suspect she is a personality disorder or a complusive lier The Rutles and Spinal tap are tame in comparison

You have a great collection Andrew. 🙂 I'm also a huge fan of The Housemartins, The Beautiful South, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott and Jake Bugg. I saw Paul and Jacqui live in 2015 and they were brilliant. Alison Wheeler, who replaced Jacqui, has a new band called Southern Beauty. They do jazz versions of The Beautiful South songs which you may enjoy. www.southernbeautyjazz.com/ I saw Jake Bugg live in 2018. He did an excellent performance. I have bought tickets to see him next year. I'm looking forward to his new album 'Saturday Night, Sunday Morning'. 'Peter Kay's Car Share' is brilliant. I got Series 1 and 2 on DVD for my birthday 3 years ago.
