Never thought you'd buy this massive rig, In terms of ship horns the bed is enough to fit 1 or 2 Tyfon 425's or in your case a Chrysler siren. Also your 6 inch exhaust will probably be heard 10 miles away via Jake brake.

That M923 looks like new. Got a few questions for you: 1. Did it already look that good when you bought it and is it a manual transmission or automatic? 2. Do you have to have a CDL to drive it? I know that having to have a CDL is based on weight of the vehicle and at 23,000lbs. it might be just under the legal weight that would require it. 3. Where did you buy it from? I've been looking for one myself for awhile and this would be perfect in it's appearance and especially the desert tan color. Thanks for any info.

Hey man I appreciate it. Yes I bought it in this condition. It was owned for 7 years by a USMC vet and he took pretty good care of it. There are several things I’m changing/ adding as well as a full PM including repacking all hubs. I got it from southern Mississippi. Drive down there and drive the M923 home right at 500 miles. Made the trip without any issue although I definitely had my worries lol. It has an Allison 5 speed auto trans. All 900 series and so on (all newer military vehicles) have auto trans. The 800 series and older had manuals. As far as a CDL I do have a Class A but it’s not required as this truck is right under 23000lbs. It’s also registered/ insured as a classic/antique. This truck is the newer A2 with CTIS and was built by BMY and has the 8.3 Cummins turbo diesel but they also had the older A1 built by AM General with a Cummins NHC-250 non turbo motor.

@@TheHornKing Thanks for all the info on the truck. I wondered about the insurance needed for it. Now I know where to get that to. The guy you bought it from definitely to great care of it and that's what I'm looking for, not one that's been dogged out and riddled with problems and becomes a money pit in repairs. I live in Columbus, Ga and one thing I'll definitely invest in if I ever buy one of these trucks is an AC kit I found that's made for them. The Summers down here here are brutal to say the least!
