I am amazed to see how a new drug can change lives! It makes me so happy for you and I have to hope that they one day find a drug who can give my children a better life than I have. I am 49 now and I understand that I have to live with my EDS pain, most of my body is broken and I don't remember what it feels like to live without pain. But I'm OK with it, I'm strong, but I don't want my two children to suffer. My son has severe asthma too and he is very short, he is a head shorter than his friends and his doctor has made all the tests during his childhood but nothing has been wrong. But they say that some children with EDS get very small so that might be the explanation. He might be a little boy but he has such a good heart ♥️, he cares for everyone and everything and especially me. He is so precious!

Brownies freeze really well you just zap them in the microwave and they’re great especially with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. 🙂👍😉

I make a double batch and cook them on cookie sheet, cut into squares and freeze, than snap them and put into plastic zipper bag. Just take 30 sec to soften and eat. My husband can't go a day without a brownie.

When we use box mixes we never do what they say on the back of the box 😬😂🤫 We use Butter instead of Oil and Milk instead of Water and we always add ingredients in such as vanilla exact (no matter what box mix it is) if it is chocolate than we add coffee to it to intensify the chocolate flavor. We also add some alcohol (it does cook out so don’t freak out) but depending on the flavor of the mix that can change. That is a family secret box mix or from scratch 😉

I make my brownies from scratch. 1 stick melted butter1/2cup coco 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1tsp. Vanilla 1/2cup flour pinch of salt 8×8×2 pan grease it.350 for 25 to 30 min. Makes a great small batch. Enjoy!

I have been using melted butter, in place of oil, in most recipes on boxes! It makes them taste like they are from scratch!

I have a great way of making boxed cakes and brownies much more rich and closer to homemade!!! Substitute milk for water, use melted butter instead of oil and add an extra egg (or two if it;s cake!) keep the measurements the same on the liquids!!! Helps them come out much more rich and flavorful!!! Great trick on the brownies for smaller batches!!!

Congrats on 7 months on your new Med, Mary! As far as Brownies go, cooking with Butter as opposed to lesser refined Vegetable Oils is a nice choice, and actually considered a healthier alternative. I typically make Brownies from scratch, but I've had my fair share of boxed over my 35 years. "Recycling" your tin-foil sheet pans is a neat way to save on waste, and dirtying extra dishes. A great Dutch Oven will last a lifetime, same goes for a cast iron skillet/pans. Keep on cooking!

I really enjoyed today's video! A very nice accompaniment to waking up properly and getting dressed and out of bed. Did you know brownies freeze really well? So you can make the whole packet and freeze half of the made ones for another day. I wrap them in foil to freeze, but in a container will do just fine. You can even cut them into small pieces and freeze as brownie bites - they're nice slightly frozen!

I just thought I would share what I do with a chook, & it comes out awesome! I put 1 (or 2 if small) whole lemons cut in 1/2 or 1/4’s, along with 6-8 whole cloves of garlic & a few sprigs of thyme/lemon thyme (if I have it) into the cavity of the chook before it goes in the oven-it comes out AWESOME-but u do have to be someone that likes lemon!! I got the idea from Jamie Oliver (recipe online I think!?). Also, I’ve tried it a couple of times (but it’s really tricky)-separate the skin from the breast & put ur flavoured butter between the skin/breast pocket you made-it makes for a really juicy roast chicken breast, because it’s “basted” constantly from the inside. It doesn’t work too well tho if u put holes in the skin! It takes a bit of practice, & u have to go slow-otherwise u muck it up easily!!

Just came across your little family.. it is amazing to see a cfer living a "normal life " # are any of us normal...lol My little brother was the first in our family diagnosed with CF, a young cousin was second I think she was about 12 when she left our world. My brother left us this August will be 7 years, Trikafta came a bit late for him... he was a month from 24 he was born severe wasn't ableton work .. he was a amazing person.. My son is the 3rd we know of in my family, but he is a bit of a head scratcher every sweat test has been extremely positive but he is pancreatic sufficient, his lungs are crystal clear he is now 16 when he was 8 he had to have a bowel resection (scary so close to losing him) About 9 months ago he cultured psudo for the first time, three months later it was gone..he did a round of tobi..at that appointment his CF doc brought up getting him on Trikafta to keep him healthy (we know the nature of cf) but I started thinking about some of the side effects particularly the liver.. he has an appointment coming up this month going to chat with doc about my concerns and questions. But you as a cfer that has by far (currently) more cf related symptoms give me a bit of peace about my son. Thank you for your daily sharing of your life, I know God is more than enough but I guess sometimes you need different things... I am married to a son of a preacher man... my father in law is an amazing pastor.. that was a bit of another twist watching you.. again thank you. Much love to you..

With the toilet water bowl, I think the hole in the top is so that it can be self filling... fill up a bottle with water and turn it upside in that hole at the top- as the water level drops below the opening of the bottle, water will pour out the bottle but will stop when it’s under the water it just let out, if that makes sense?? Try it and put it in the vlog so we can see if it works! :)

Yes, I have seen them online also. You put a old 2 liter soda bottle filled with water in it and it will refill itself. Maybe move to a place not in direct traffic.

I stuff butter under the skin of a chicken then use a roast chicken seasoning it has paprika in it. Very yummy

I have to say you have way more restraint than I do in the brownie department. A pan of brownies doesn’t stand a chance around me. You can always freeze leftovers. My fav mixis Ghirardelli dark chocolate (always dark chocolate) brownies. Awesome!! Wow! Just watched a video about Sphinx cats and didn’t realize they had to be bathed a few times a week. Hair-Man is cute but I’m afraid that’s a bit too high maintenance for me. But he is a sweetie as is Ollie of course!
