As much as I LOOOOOOVE this, there is no way, Im hiring a second person to come do 5 minutes worth of work before and after an event. I did a hoerboard T Stand and built a custom road case and then being in Califrnia everything is in the friggin dirt at rustic venues. Spending tons of time driving 6 hours to check out each and every new venue isn't happening but I defintely applaud your set up! I love what you created its absolutely gorgeous. I also am on the RANE12s and I use the 72 mixer instead of the S9 cause I wanted 2 mics. Gorgeous set up man! I love it and Id want one for my man cave! LOL

Pretty cool! For your XLR and power coming down the leg, I would suggest making a patch bay instead of the hole you have at the bottom, no? Nice XLR patch and PowerCon (Blue) In would do the trick. That way you wouldn’t even have to open the top for the power because you could leave everything on and when you twist in the PowerCon, BOOM!, power!
@DJRickWeb4 жыл бұрын
That would add 3 more connections I would have to make
@djjuego1234 жыл бұрын
DJ Rick Web yea. Pigtail cables would do the trick, to go from booth to your rack. But so much more simple than having to feed cables every time and remove your lid each time. Just preference obviously. Pretty Cool set up either way. The finished wood looks nice

Overall a great build. Job well done. The two things that stood out to me: If you would have moved your power strip/conditioner to the right hand side of the table, it would have been easier to flip the switch by removing your cup holder, versus lifting the entire table top, this adding wear and tear. Also, as clean as that is (and it’s very clean, very sharp) tie up those 3 cables on your laptop stand. Weather with velcro around the pole or some kind of attachment on the bottom of your wooden stand for it. Small detail, but it will make a big difference.
@DJRickWeb4 жыл бұрын
I have to pop the top off for the sticker light controller too so no win there. I am adding a clip to the laptop stand as the wires need to come off to remove the stand for transport
@drummerdude83234 жыл бұрын
DJ Rick Web you wouldn’t have to do that for the sticker light if you used a usb extension cable so your cord would reach and you just kept it pulled out of the hole, the same way you do your xlrs in the leg. Same with your laptop charger etc. just keep them pulled through the hole at all times. Mount the controller for your light sticker to the underside of the laptop stand. You’d have all 3 cables right there ran through your hole, all you have to do is plug them in, and you will never need to lift the whole top again. Just trying to help. I’ve enjoyed your channel for a couple years!
