I like the FP meters. My "dream" meter is a Fluke 1587. Its a traditional multimeter and megger in one. Great testimonial video Adrian.

I went with the SC480 simply because it's a good compromise between compact size and features - the swiveling head and dual temp on the 680 would be really nice though! Having wireless capability, dual Amp/Volt readings, and the magnetic strap are the only features I'm not willing to compromise on. If they could make an SC280 that was wireless, had a swivel head, dual display, and still keep that more compact size I would buy one in a heartbeat. FLUKE are great meters, but Fieldpiece are just designed better for HVAC/R Service work IMO.

Fieldpiece SC480 It has similar functions and is compact, the only different detail is that it has a single temperature port and the magnetic rubber. I have this volt meter too but personally in my all day tool I prefer the 480

480 is a nice in between that does almost the same. I just prefer to use this one now. I basically have all 3 models, can't go wrong just depends on your needs

I use the sc680 . Thankfully I am close to orange Ca but have had to take it in for a swap ; as the temperature started jumping all over the place . Would have to turn it off and on to get it to stabilize on temp . It only was about 3-4 years old . You have any of yours have that issue with temp jumping all over then stabilizing out

I got one of those from my job. It started to give false voltage readings after a couple of months of using it. Went back to my ideal that I bought at Lowes and it has yet to fail me after a year of daily use. Keep up the good work sir👍

Not really, use it daily. Temp reading freaks out sometimes if I leave it in a walk in, probably not supposed to do that tho 😂

Does anyone else get the issue where you expose the screen to the sun it creates black marks on it. If so what did you guys do to fix it, cause its annoying and gets in the way

Great explanation, but had to quit watching spinning the box for features and then worse shaking the meter as explaining what your check on the roof, made this not good for me. I have been a user of Field Piece Meter since 2010 and plan to buy this unit as I am a specialized mechanic for GSE relating to ground equipment for aircraft.
