The Iron Skull Power Bar is one of the toughest and most reliable bars available. This bar is IPF aligned and is full of top notch quality. I've got the EliteFTS Iron Cowboy bar and was also pretty happy with it. Elite has a pretty good deal on their blemished version as well if people are looking to save money. Glad you take the time to remove the sleeves on every review. I've been wondering about removing the end caps on mine and now I know!

Excellent review. The tear down and close up shots really helped me out. I was trying to decide between this and the other usual power bars and you may have just sold me on it. Did you have any luck finding a suitable snap ring? Those retention springs are very similar to some locking hub retention springs, and I know they tend to be thinner than snap rings of a similar diameter.

Yes. They sell them at tractor supply so you can grab them when you grab some stall mats

Yeah the bells of steel is nice for the price. It is a bare steel shaft, but the sleeves are chrome. In the past when I have had bare steel bars the shaft was never really a problem as king and you brush and oil it once in a while, but the bare steel sleeves would rust all the time. That’s why it’s nice the sleeves are chrome. I have a few boneyard bars the same way bare steel shaft with bright zinc or chrome sleeves

I also don’t find too much issue with bare steel barbells but I understand the desire to not have to maintain. The Iron Skull cerakote is a good option, especially for the price.
