Really good concept! Love seeing these other miniature sculptures! Would love to see this idea continued with other manufacturers/ armys, as someone who's looking for skaven that would look good with the new gw plastics it's always good to see more choices!

Cool looking 3D print minis. You should check out the Dwarven crusaders from Bood Wargames and LaFig miniatures. I don’t believe you can currently get the physical models but you can buy the STL files. They have an old school GW feel particularly the 3rd edition and imperial dwarfs

Just saw some High Elves from White Angel, they look pretty great. How did you find the supports? Are there many islands etc? I find often there are just so many islands it puts me off printing models. Thanks for the video!

Just about to start Chaos Dwarfs so very timely. I really like the Infernal Empire range. It's a bit more "corporate" but I also really like Mantic's Abyssal Dwarfs for Kings of War too.

I really like the mix of old and new aesthetics in the infernal empire range . I bought some of the mantic dwarfs which aren’t too bad too build to be honest but I want a massive fan of some of the sculpts personally .

100% agree with you, I love the empire and am working on an army atm. I love most of the old sculpts but the multi part plastic state troops look so weird to me. Hate the squat poses of them and the highlands or reptilian overlords models are a cut above

Great models you are right ! I will be looking for them when I start my dwarves. Do you think 3d prints are the future ? How far off is this future ?

So honestly there will be games workshop and there will always be models , but I think just for ease and some of the really nice sculpts I think you will continue to see more and more 3d prints . Like I only play with 3d prints really but I always buy all the new dwarf models gw drops just to have them . So I don’t think traditional models will go away anytime soon.

Been in the hobby over thirty years. I like cool shit. GW does not have the monopoly on cool shit. Hell, I have caught myself laughing out loud over some of their modern sculpts.

@@Dawiafterdark Have to say that's a bit of a surprise as I hadn't really thought of anyone who already had a particular army getting another version of it, at least not as a separate army, but when you put it like that I guess I can see your reasoning! I'll be honest, I don't like the look of these figures at all. Don't like the Highland ones either and don't have much enthusiasm for GW ones made this century. But that's just a matter of individual taste and I can still appreciate armies that are well painted or show off modelling skills and ideas even when they're not entirely my cup of tea. I completely agree that those that do like them should have no worries about using them whatsoever and I don't see any reason why anyone should be criticised for liking them.

@@ClydeMillerWynant and that’s entirely fair :) your completely right we all have our preferences and it’s great you prefer the old models as they have such great character and charm . The only problem is when people who haven’t played the game before and come from modern games don’t like the old models and they find it a barrier of entry , so I think it’s good that people play with the old and the new :) yeah I don’t really understand it you would think everyone would be happy that more people are joining out niche hobby :)

I also think I'd find it pretty odd if a new young player turned out to have a couple of hundred 1980s Citadel Dwarfs!

Im hoping for a cultural shift away from GW-Only miniatures. The purity tests are irritating for those of us on a pauper's hobby budget that missed out on Warhammer Fantasy in its heyday.
