Great set up only thing I might add is a table or something to kinda connect the conveyor to the bucking station then you can just roll or slide the rounds to avoid picking them up

I think it pretty nice. That bending over to cut the logs is a pain. Would be nice if you could find an old elevator to put at the end of the splitter. This way you could create a pile or put it in the trailer by moving it under it. I have seen the road dividers for sale that could be used to make a holding area for the wood to drop into then use a rock bucket to scoop out the wood. This would leave the dust and bark in the holding area. I am sure there is some other combinations that could be done also. The setup looks like a great back saver. If you pound in your green stakes they will keep most logs from going over the back of your log lift. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

Who says that woodcutting needs to be primitive and difficult. Easy and efficient is always better than difficult and energy wasting! This is why we no longer live in caves. Always looking for a better way. Perfecting a process is half the fun of doing things for yourself. Keep up that thought process and carry on! Thanks for sharing.

excellent design for your operation. I buck on a super slight decline and have a ramp from the ground to a stack of pallets next to my splitter (I don't have a log lift and I don't lift large rounds). Because the ramp is about 8' and the land is sloped, it's almost horizontal. This looks nice given you're doing production.

Hey Dan, this is a great idea, the only thing is your Boss might want that roller table back from the plant.........lol 🤣🤣👍 Dan, try some 4x4's in the back for stops, also you might add some in places to cut so you don't cut into your pallets. I like the the roller system. Your back thanks you and said no more flipping logs and back them. 👍😊 Get the Little Boss Man some gloves, to Help his Dad load the trailer. If you try to keep the ends all the same you could them cut them all at 16 or 19". Maybe mark the pallets below with yellow paint at 16" or where you cut. Be Safe out there in the wood yard .
