My boyfriend and I of four years recently broke up and its good to know that I’m not alone. @@pinkrainbow1 I can just tell you from my life in Germany but I think it is a thing all over Europe. We build houses with bricks (quite expensive) and not wood. So why should we pay thousands of euro extra to build a bigger house for something furniture can do. We like to use the space efficient: so instead of a walk-in closet I put my crosstrainer in there or my university stuff. And personally we (general people not that wealthy) don’t have that much clothes to fill up a room with 2x2 meters. My closet is 2 meter high and 3 wide which is quite big (i don’t mean a room with 2x3 meters but the wardrobe)🙈In my wardrobe is everything and I still have space 😂 Nice house costs 300k€ without the ground you are building on. So if you live in the city or somewhere a bit expensive you can’t afford a „big ass house“ because the ground only will be like 250k € (in very small towns like 55k €). So many people don’t have houses. Their life in flats and to pay like 100€ monthly more rent for a walk in closet is not something we do. We buy a wardrobe (simple 250€ - nice but still simple 800€) we can take with us if we move.

Ever heard of the phrase fake it until you make it. Being strong, staying positive is sometimes the hardest thing to do when things go wrong in our lives. It takes a lot of strength. So be kind and let people feel how ever they need to feel. Your idea of how someone should ‘act’ in certain situations isn’t reality. I really dont want this comment to come across in a horrid way because that's not how it is meant at all. I love that you do share all the highs and lows of your life, I love the fact you're moving house.. again for like the 4th time this year - because my life feels parralell. I've moved 3 times this year living in 3 different cities. I've also been in relationships that I really thought were going to work and unfortunately didn't. Watching you makes me feel less alone with it and I feel I'm with you on this working on yourself journey. It's actually made me realise (because of lockdown) how little of time that I ever gave myself before. I never did things for me.
