In Europe, a 250 ml can of Red Bull is around 1.50 to 2.50 euros, so with 39 euros, you could buy about 15-26 cans. In India, though, the same can costs about 110-130 rupees, meaning 39 euros (or around 3500 rupees) would buy 27-32 cans. This highlights how the same price can feel very different depending on where someone lives. Adjusting the subscription cost by region could help make it more accessible for users everywhere. 🙂

yah man! that's a real issue. My father, a lower middle class father carrying 3 grown children and a wife doesn't even earn 15 euro per day. How am I supposed to join it! There are many ways to evaluate if a person is dedicated or not. But making something paid is the only way some youtubers seems to find. it's funny isn't it.

@@FreeAltSoftwareTutorials he's opting for a Discord server instead of creating a dedicated app for Mobile Dev Campus? And why not make the Mobile Dev Campus app videos exclusive to subscribers? That would definitely add value and justify the €39 or €49 per month price tag.

If subscribers had access to your master courses, it'd be much more attractive

Awesome idea, but the price seems a bit steep. Is there a way to implement region-based pricing to make it more accessible to different areas?

This sound interesting. Please, I have few questions about the Dev campus: 1. Will students learn Kotlin multiplateform or for Android only ? 2. What time the campus is going to start ? 3. Which kind of Apps are students going to build ?
@PhilippLacknerКүн бұрын
1. You're free to build the monthly challenges with KMP and ask all your KMP related questions to me or my senior dev colleagues. They're trained on KMP as well :) 2. It's an ongoing thing. Every month, you'll get a new app dev challenge with professional mockups and requirements you can work on :) 3. That changes. The first app for example will be an alarm clock app. Next one will be very different again :)

This sounds great! A few questions 1. Can a college student participate? 2. How much time is required for this camp? 3. When does this camp start? How long does it last?
@PhilippLacknerКүн бұрын
Hey :) 1. Absolutely, everyone who wants to get better at app dev is welcome. 2. There's no strict time requirement, everyone can learn in their own pace. To get the most out of it, I'd recommend 5-10h/week at least. 3. It's an ongoing thing. Every month, you'll get a new app dev challenge to work on for which you can ask all your questions to me and my senior dev colleagues.

My advice is to build something yourself to learn. Real world applications I have seen don't always have standard mvvm tutorial kinda structure or simplicity. They're complex, custom modified components of android and customized views among lots of other things. Only way to learn is to do it. Problem solving is different than just following a tutorial or follow a structure of an app. Focus on learning problem solving and then you can just implement anything yourself. That can only be done if you do something on your own.
@PhilippLacknerКүн бұрын
And for exactly that the Campus offers you everything you need and gives you the push to practice on your own. You get mockups and requirements for a realistic app which you can then build and ask questions.

This is something similar to Android Nano degree program... it is a very good idea to work on project as a team. The price could be lower for some other countries where developers not earning that much as like in EU but think about the content creator he has to pay for his bills. For beginners this would run for at least half a year to get a good level of experience and still this does not qualify you as a developer to get hired also consider the current job market.
