Hope you feel 100% soon. The case looks beautiful. I hope it inspires and brings big joy and good chaos.
First, they take the dinglebop, and they smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches. They take the dinglebop and they push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It’s important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice. Then a schlami shows up, and he rubs it and spits on it. They cut the fleeb. There’s several hizzards in the way. The blamfs rub against the chumbles. And the ploobis and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with a regular old plumbus. . . (Really enjoyed this but reminded me of this Rick and Morty episode so hard 🤣)

Sorry to hear about you being unwell Bo mate. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Certainly is a BoDacious case. Awesome. You could use that crate as a trunk or coffee table.
@tanksmoonchild3 жыл бұрын
It is *awesome*. I have no other word for it. Just a thought about the positioning of the befaco hexmix and the hexpander. I don't think you can place them side by side. The ribbon between them is really thick/wide and forces the hexexpander to be placed above the mixer. I guess if you are creative you can get it done of course.
@BoBeats3 жыл бұрын
yeah I actually had someone else comment about it and I think you are right. If you check the new Modulargrid link in stickied comment you can see the new layout :)

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing! I love the design. It leaves lots of space for expansion. I am in the office furniture business so I have two things to recommend. First, put some casters on that table! You going to want to move it and it going to be very heavy. It sure will make it easier to get behind for wiring purposes. Second, consider a lift system for the table. It would be useful to play it sitting or standing.

Sweet - i'm building a larger wooden case myself by hand so was interested to see the process. On the build - Absolutely have the moogs in with that much space - they sound amazing !! Odd you don't have the Hexmix and HExander above and below as that is how they are designed. Would also not bother with teh dreadbox modules - but i guess u already have them ?

Other issue with plywood is it can be iffy with laser cutting. I have an 80W machine and even high quality plywood can give you fits. Solid wood is a lot easier to cut with the laser. I have a pair of Pittsburgh Modular cases which is really nice ply, but I’m sure it’s just saw cuts. Also the router maneuver to remove the laser char could risk chipping out on plywood. Nice case! As for the ripple, hrmm. Makes me wonder if there wouldn’t be a market for a module you can insert between the module and the case supply that does clean up for hyper sensitive modules? It would basically just take the rack power and regenerate it and then run thru some linear low drop out regulators. Also GWS man...
@JamesReedy3 жыл бұрын
LOL I was wondering why he was rastering the thru-holes and then I realized he was using a raster operation to make the blind holes for the dowels! I’ve done something like this for brackets/hinges. You have to know your material well to do it though.

@@BoBeats The case and studio are beautiful. For me, they represent my journey in creating music. How much do I need and want? How much is too much? Is this fun for a moment or will I really use it? How long will it take to learn and interconnect with the studio? I'm learning I cannot have too many options or I struggle to create. Its better for me to limit, learn, practice and see what comes out. I want a space with vibe to do the creation, but if I go too big or have too much in it, doesn't go well.
