Today’s video is the one many of you (and myself) have been waiting for! The full rundown on what the new engine combination will be for my race truck! We take a look into all of the components that make up the combination and i give full explanation of reasoning for parts selection. This might not be what you were thinking it would be!

only thing i would do is put a it of case sealant right there on the ports and i think you will be just fine, i did the way i did as i want to street drive mine, but i do thank you for pointing it out or i would have been pulling the head to fix it,

Sounds like you have a good plan. But I do have a war head on my .020 over 5.9 bore

Just drill the right rear coolant passage thru the copper gasket and the system will work fine in standard configuration. Smear a little wright stuff around the ports you want to seal and it won't leak.

That's the block Chris Patterson got his 3,400hp/4,550ft-lb dyno chassis record with, filled of course. Believe it was bored to 6.7 as well. No deckplate.

Awesome man I think you are right with being able to learn on the pistons. Keep us up on everything and congratulations on being able to get back and run sooner.

I'm looking forward to the build series! I'm in the planning stages of a new motor build in my pulling truck for the 2025 season currently I have a slightly modified 12V and I am having a hard time trying to figure out what I want to do next. I appreciate you breaking down your thought process on why your going with what you are it definitely gives me a new perspective on how I should be thinking of my next build.

I wonder if that billet timing case would be user friendly on a street P-Pump 6.7? It's a ton of work to get the factory P-Pump timing case right on the 6.7 block.

I will let you know when I get to that point but I can’t think of any reason not to run one on a street application

Badass !! A very strong engine overbuilt for your goals. You running a roller rocker arm setup on this ?

Thanks! I had oem rocker arms before. They didn’t show any signs of excess wear and according to Scheid, roller rockers aren’t necessarily for my application so i will be going back with oem again on this engine

Same Scheid billet cam that I was running in the last engine. It’s ~ 234/242

Was your last engine .020 over bore?

It was standard bore. This one is .020 over standard 5.9

@@allenstyer205 from just the difference in .020 bore size? No, not at all. That’s a minimal difference. If it spools better it will be from the piston bowl design burning the fuel more efficiently
