You mention not being able to get the Brilliant since you are restricted from the Bonvoy business. What is the restriction? I am not aware of one.

Agreed. I believe the 24-month restriction applies only if you got welcome offer from Chase Bonvoy cards

Gotcha yes my mistake on that one. There is no restriction for getting the Brilliant due to having the Bonvoy Business. So, I may end up getting the Brilliant earlier than expected haha. Thanks for watching James!

What?!? Transfer points from AmEx to Air Canada to Marriott? Doesn’t AmEx charge a fee?

No fees on the 1:1 transfers. Air Canada & Marriott are both transfer partners of Amex so you can transfer your points that way if you'd like.

Ethiopian Airlines to Kenya was pretty sweet when I did it. Toronto to Addis Ababa to Nairobi was 180k Aeroplan points and I got a transfer bonus so it ended up being 150k. Kenya for safari is so much fun!
