Go for it! I did the same thing back in the '70s with my 396ci ....bored it out to 405 and added all new parts as you are doing. This was all in the carb days...parts everywhere. Eventually, I started wrenching for guys for the 1/4 mile dragstrips nearby....those were the good 'ol days. Have fun!

From one "MOTORHEAD" to another, YES, THAT WILL BE A GREAT ADVENTURE FOR ALL OF US. AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW "NIKO" DOWN IN FLORIDA, does some really great photography. I'm anxious to see how well you do on that also. Because on a full rebuild there so many little steps that you have to tie together. I think you got a great idea going.
