Your hamburger comment was correct. :) However, here in TX we are blessed to have both Whataburger and In-N-Out. Yes, indeed. Nice work with the Global. And I am really digging those shoulder boards you are wearing. So glad you are back!

Hey Shaun glad you're back! I found your channel right before I signed up for flight school and now I fly CRJs for a regional airline. I wanted to say thanks for the influence your channel had to push me to learn to fly!

Stay warm in Pennsylvania by taking Florida's heat with you. In Michigan's UP I walked a half-hour to MTU in the morning, and a half hour back in the evening. If you wear enough clothes to stay warm for a half-hour walk you'll never be freezing while running from shelter to shelter. Quality warm boots and as many layers of clothes as it takes. --Always know the temperature and wind-speed before setting out. The Secret Weapons of skiers are long underwear, face-mask, wind leggings over pants. My kit included an insulated coat and a separate wind shell that went over it. Sometimes multiple sweaters and two pairs of jeans (substitute for leggings.) The only time it wasn't enough it was -68° F wind chill blowing blizzard and I had to thaw out in a store before walking the rest of the way home (rental room in a house.)

Those Islands are the THUMS Islands, Texaco Humble Union (Unocal) Mobile Shell, the oil companies that built/owned/worked them. They're also called the "Astronaut Islands," They're named after Chaffee, Grissom, and White, the astronauts killed in the launchpad fire during the Apollo program. In my earlier days, I've worked on all three. You uh... wouldn't vacation there!

First off... Shaun, welcome back! Its been quite the dry spell. I was a Texan refugee in California for about 3 yrs. While I was there on assignment In-n-Out Burger was a tasty, wonderful stand-in for my home state Whataburger. But in the end it still doesn't quite measure up. Whataburger for the win!

@CorporatePilotLife Hey Sean, I’ve been subscribed to your channel since your start back in 2017, and I’m a fan…love your content! I’ve started my private pilot training and am working toward my commercial cert here in Los Angeles. Small note on the video’s start location, the oil islands in Los Angeles Harbor are actually drilling bases, not off loading stations or refineries. The high-rise “building” on the island is actually a movable oil drilling tower (on railroad tracks, and made up in a building facade skin) that moves on rails around the island to multiple different drilling holes that go south out (in varying directions) under the seabed for several miles. The greater LA area historically has been an oil producing area for well over 100 years, and is one of the reasons that there are 5 huge refineries located in Los Angeles County near the Port of Los Angeles. It’s also a huge reason for the massive concentration of aviation manufacturers that sprung up here in the early 20th century. Hope that you’re having a great day!!
