Excited for you to play Final Fantasy 16! It was my personal GOTY last year. Definitely had a bit of pacing issues and wish it also had some deeper RPG elements to it. Despite the shortcomings it was a beautiful and enthralling experience. VA’s are some of the best I’ve ever experienced in gaming. Hope you enjoy it! Cheers Mort!

I know Stalker 2 has gone through multible delays but the final release at the moment is set for late November from what I understand, and as a fan of plot apocolyptic slavic/Eastern-European regions like Metro and Stalker series I am excited. I think I've have had my full of post-apocalypse set in the U.S/Western Europe for me. Places like Japan where firearms are not as prevalent would be awesome. Also excited for No Room in Hell 2.

Greedfall was awesome. Just the kind of a game I like. Good story, amazing setting, cool characters, AA and it doesn't take 300hours to complete. It did get a bit chorey near the end with all the running back and forth, but overall it was great. I'm very much looking forward to the sequel.

The pirate game looks interesting, I've been playing this game called "Caribbean legend" that apparently came out this year, but it looks and plays like a game from 20 years ago, complete with slav-jank and esoteric rpg mechanics and all, no pirate game RPG has scratched that itch since POE 2

Hey i suggest you to try kunitsu gami, path of the goddess. It should be around 15-20 hours, all i can say is that it's a "tower defense" strategy hack and slash sorta. I'm loving it so far!

It's interesting to see what is coming. The concepts of some of these look interesting, but there sure are a lot of action-oriented games, which I do not particularly enjoy. Whenever I hear "Souls-like" I immediately lose interest. Hard core, old school CRPGs (either turn-based or real-time-with-pause) are more my speed. With the success of Baldur's Gate 3, hopefully we will see more of them in the future, but it will take time, as these games cannot be developed overnight. I'll probably take a close look at that pirate game. I'm not so much into tactical stuff, but at least it is turn based, and pirates can be fun. Though this is a busy release season, there isn't anything that I'm particularly excited about, though depending on how the pirate game looks and how the Greedfall sequel handles combat, I could become interested. I'll definitely look to this channel for more information - the reviews here are among the best.

Looks fun! I hope Space Marine II is good solo, loved the first one. If you ever want a 40K game to just play " 'Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor- Martyr' is a great ARPG to unwind with despite the overly complex title. It's not quite Grim Dawn, but it's a fun way to spend a little time. Keep up the good work!

I was really enjoying my time with Final Fantasy XVI. Infortunately, I was one of the unlucky people who had their PS5 GPU fry playing it. I had the game paused at the main hub of the game and when I came back, I had green dots and screen tearing. This persisted through the PS Home page and other games. Since replacing my PS5, I've not touched the game. A PC release might be what I need

If you manage to find some time Darklands is worth a try. It is a low magic CRPG with some interesting mechanics. It had good graphics at the time but since it was released in 1992 they are pretty aged now.

What is your time split between gaming and script writing / video production?

8-10 minute videos take usually like 1-2 hours to edit start to finish, reviews tend to be around the 4 hours or so. I dont write scripts I make bullet points for topics which saves me a lot of time. The rest is the actual gaming, and then occasionally I have to do some admin stuff like answering emails etc. On any given day I usually game 10-12 hours on average, with the rest spent on editing or just general life stuff. Outside of when Im absolutely slammed, I usually take it a bit easy on Sat/Sun.

I know this isn't exactly the spot to say this but there is a fan made game Paign and successor Paign 2 that have Gothic 1/2 as inspiration in skills leveling and systems all. It's a mobile game (but will release on steam and the graphics are Robloxy which kept me away from the game for a long time and boy i was dumb to do that) but while the first one is kinda short and you level a bit too fast, the second one really feels like Gothic 2. Grindy and harsh and three factions and some quests can have different paths. I'm just trying to spread the word and make this solo dev get some exposure as gameplay like this I found just in Gothic. Lots of secrets and items.

I learned my first lesson in hype being bullshit from Peter Molyneux as a teenager. Fable as a whole burned me so bad because it was so far from what was promised. Looking back what Molyneux was saying was absolutely impossible on the tech of the time but kid me didn't understand that.

I’m sorry for asking a question that I’m sure has been asked many times but why only PC games? Is it just personal preference? There are some amazing games for Switch I would love to hear his thoughts on. All PS5 games eventually wind up on PC but I would say some older classics like the Uncharted series for instance absolutely deserve his treatment and it’s just a shame he won’t do it because they aren’t on PC …

Mostly personal preference, its also much more annoying to record and edit console footage. Why would I pay to be inconvenienced as I see it. I'd much rather just wait until it hits PC no matter how big the game is.

I do wish you were more hype for Dragon Age: The Veilguard but it's cool. I understanding having reservations but I don't think you need to worry too much. Yes it won't have the old combat systems and will be more like an ARPG in that respect but that's worked before with Mass Effect and the Mass Effect: Trilogy is mostly considered as peak gaming. Anyway, it's all about the story and narrative and I have absolutely no concerns regarding that and it will have RPG elements as well. It might not be GotY but I do think it'll be nominated.

That's exactly why I believe The Veilgrard isn't a Dragan age game but a ARPG masquerading as such. As far as it working for Mass Effect, I played it for an hour and quit it forever. If this game is something you like, Great have fun. I just wish people would stop pretending it's something it's not.
