The hot topic in weight loss media these days is Ozempic® and similar GLP-1 semaglutide drugs like Mounjaro, Wegovy, etc. I'm sure you've heard the claims of people achieving rapid weight loss without dieting or exercise. But are these medications the magic bullet for losing weight - or are they just another quick fix fad weight loss solution?
First off, these medications are meant for adults with type 2 diabetes to help improve blood sugar. And while they certainly help with that, there's a very powerful side effect that has gotten a lot more attention and that is Losing Weight Fast.
It's not uncommon for regular everyday people taking these drugs to experience significant weight loss of up to 15% of their bodyweight within a year! That's A LOT of weight.
But is it safe, what are the side effects, and is this a permanent solution to losing weight and keeping it off for life?

Hi Lee. Do you keep a workout log to track the weights you use at this stage of the game? Or do you just go by how you feel for the day? I was just curious.

I do track my workouts, but I also adjust them depending on how I'm feeling. If I'm not feeling strong or energetic I'll do an easier workout / active recovery session instead.
