I went through hell with a man who also claimed to be a christian, angel in the church, just to turn around and be an abusive devil in the house, I left him quietly without telling him I was leaving him that day, so that day when he went to work, I took my son and I left, I was a broken woman of all the abuse he put me through, I end up in a shelter with my son, by the way when I left him I was 2 months pregnant at the time, that was 16 years ago, that whole experience put me of ever dating or getting married again, today I'm living a very quiet peaceful life, my life turned out well, and may I say God has blessed me above and beyond my expectations.

"I'm absolutely nothing without God" -THIS. Thank You Aus Tshidi for sharing. After watching the Netflix series MAID and at the same time dealing with trauma from emotional abuse which left me completely broken after dating a narcissist who preyed on my short comings to fill a void inside him, your story sheds such bright light and gives hope to people who are in similar situations to always choose themselves and also to FORGIVE. To be able to sit there and take us back to everything you went through with such strength and grace - that is only God's doing. Aus Relebogile thank you for this platform! May God bless You both and every soul this has impacted.

I’ve never cried like I did watching Maid. It’s the fact that people really still don’t consider emotional abuse as Abuse!! My ex used to laugh (even though we once got physical it was mostly emotionally abuse) he laughed in my face when I told him he is abusing me. But ohhh the God we pray too🥺🥺. I am glad to say I’m not as easily triggered by things now I’m just taking it as it goes but I am much better now. So for anyone who has been through or is in a similar kuzawulunga uThixo uzawosula amanxeba akho. Love and light ❤️

@@avuyileapril2861 OMG me too! It was so upsetting to see her go through all that I swear. It reminded me of when I'd get blocked or simply ignored by people everytime I'd tell them what my ex would be doing to me. Almost felt like I was losing my mind, felt like people just didn't wanna accept that version of him because he was totally different towards them. I felt so so so hopeless. I also had my own shortcomings, the emotional abuse kinda made them worse. The laughing in your face when confronted!! Girl... It's so surreal when they do that. For the life of me I'll never understand it. I was honestly never the girl he could lie to or manipulate, I'd call him out on his BS everytime and question things and I think that lack of control over me would make him take off his mask and reveal his true self in an effort to subdue me. Even now I get really scared when someone slightly raises their voice at me. 🥺 I'm soooo glad that we are two very strong women who stood up to these guys in the manner that we did. I'm really proud of us and everyone else who overcame emotional abuse and all other forms of abuse. There's just no hate in my heart for him though.. It's mostly just sadness and a hope that he becomes better and that he deals with whatever shaped him to become that person. Honestly there's so much healing I still need to do and really need intensive therapy which I'll make my way to get soon because as appalling as it may sound, I might have subconsciously picked up abusive traits from him which might show up in my next relationship and I don't want that or to be a completely closed up partner. Love and light to you mntase. ❤

I can't even move on coz I have so much anger inside of me and it's bugging me every single day. I don't trust men and more than anything I'm scared. @@sbonzama7013 I personally think it is very important for a couple to have transparent heart to heart conversations from time to time so that they can know each other better and understand each others values, upbringings and experiences. Thus will make it easier for them to see if they have a similar mental capacity and the relationship is more likely to be successful. In most cases as people we simply look at physical appearance, affordability and sex and those things can never be enough. I mean if you are dating someone who values honestly, that person will never cheat on u. If there is a problem we sit down and talk it out peacefully while it's still fresh and sick help if we have to. We don't have to pile things up. In that case we can never get to a point of cheating and making babies outside the relationship and don't have to worry about someone bringing a sicknesses into the relationship. That’s so true, boy children are left behind yet they don’t live in the world of their own..Again another factor is absent fathers, most kids either boy or girl are raised by women,in schools they are taught mostly by women, they don’t know exactly what a man is suppose to do,how he is suppose to treat a lady, most of them are bottling anger and resentment issues of their negligent fathers, they can’t handle pressure, they don’t know how to love, some copy what their fathers did to their mothers..And this thing is not only in SA even here in Botswana is a serious issue. So many ladies are killed it’s disturbing
