Do you keep track of what you spend your money on and how much? Just wondering at the end of the month do you find you are spending more money on a different area? or Just keep it the same sinking funds? Hope that makes sense as I'm finding when I do the receipt break down when shopping I have more categories then what I'm budgeting for.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I've only just recently been logging every single expense that I have into my new budget sheet. It's a google sheet so I'm able to update it anywhere. It's my first month of tracking everything - kicking myself for not tracking it sooner lol. For the sinking funds I figure out when my completion date is and then figure out how many paycheques I have between now and the completion date and then I know how much I need to be setting aside each pay cheque. It does fluctuate a bit as some of my sinking funds are open ended (clothing, beauty, etc). I have always made a budget though with each paycheque so I know where to allocate all the money too and I was reviewing what I spent in my cash envelopes by being able to see what was leftover at the end of the pay period. Just finding it easier now to keep this all in a spreadsheet as I LOVE spreadsheets haha. Not sure if that answered your question. Thanks for following along!
