Why not use the midi from the G2 to control the HX Stomp? There is room to run a flat midi cable from the end of the G2 up to the midi on the HX....

Hey Chris, re: wet/dry & wet/wet. To have both options easily available run G2 output 2 & HumDinger Split to an A/B Box (small enclosure in place of Trelicoptor perhaps?!?) running into second amp. Then wet/dry & wet/wet configurations are available right at your feet depending on the situation. Looks like you’ve abandoned wet/dry with this board for now. Could be good for when you’re back on bigger stages again. Actually this won’t work with HX Stomp as it’ll create latency in the wet amp. There is a way around this. Something like routing everything through the Stomp. Umm I’d say ask Dan! All your pedals & G2 loops would have to be placed in HxStomp as an FX Loop anyway. This will sort the latency issue. It might be a while b4 you decide wet/dry needs to be resurrected!

The mythos Miljnor is the longest serving pedal on my board. Got one almost three years ago and has served me well. The golden fleece i also own and it's awesome but the offshoot version the Landreth High Road is even better. More spitty. I've found the Kreley Caverns a superb pedal as it is reverb and delay in one. The reverb has a mild trem option and the delay can get close to my old carbon copy. The Dane does that KOT thing for me.

Not that your playing needs it, but if you were looking to give your playing a kick in the pants, consider getting an expression pedal for your HX Stomp. And if you wanted to go a little further, consider a Source Audio Hot Hand 3. This is a wireless "expression pedal" you wear on your picking hand that responds to movement. The base unit that the finger transmitter communicates with can put out a pair of Source Audio-standard control voltages for their pedals, OR a Line 6 standard 0-10k resistance to ground for their expression-pedal inputs. The smoothness and sensitivity of response can be adjusted, allowing you to control parameters on your HX Stomp. I'm not intimately familiar with that unit, but I have an M5 and I can't imagine the expression-pedal control of the Stomp being somehow lesser than what is implemented on the M5. PROS: The base is about the size of a mini-pedal, and the finger sensor/transmitter is comfortable and nonintrusive, so no pedalboard space required as for an expression pedal. CONS: One can't both pick/strum (especially with finger tips as you do) AND wave your picking hand around at the same time, so one is generally confined to introducing effect-parameter changes AFTER you pick/strum and can take your hand away from the instrument. Still, a remarkably powerful controller. I will also note that the feel of a finger-modulated change is different than the feel of what you can do with your foot. FWIW, when I learned that the L6 expression standard was simply a variable resistance to ground, I wired up a photocell and cable to plug into my M5, and affixed the photocell to the surface of my guitar between the bridge and volume pot, so that I could cover and uncover it with my pinky finger. Wild! The downside is that you have to have a source of ambient light so that the photocell can reach low resistances, and that you can block with your finger. Unlike the Hot Hand, though, you *can* use it while you pick.

Would have like to have heard more about how you actually use the board in a live gig setting. For instance, if your not using midi and the Stomp is not in a G3 loop, do you actually stomp on the Stomp to toggle thru presets and would it take at least two pedal presses: one on G3 and one on Stomp in certain situations? Thanks.

Being from the States, I have always been entriged by the whole UK area, but especially Wales, and it's people. Not to dis anyone, but from the history I have read, most of the conquerors, to England in time, took over almost everywhere, but Wales. From my research, it seems after so much time, expense, and effort wasted, for such small gains, the conquerors made a, "stay the hell out of there zone" and left Wales alone and in tact. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you gotta appreciate, that kind of gumption! However, if you please, don't damn God! Bravo, non the less, "Wales". And no, I mean no disrespect, to the rest, of the country! It's just history.
@LennyJohnson5
@LennyJohnson5 4 жыл бұрын
@@Linkmohr12 You’re right Duncan, Wales is unique amongst the four countries that make up the UK (the others being Scotland, Northern Ireland and England) in that it has strongly maintained its identity through the survival of its own ancient language, and associated cultural events such as the Eisteddfod, an annual outdoor gathering of artists, bards and druids, that celebrates poetry, literature and music within the language. While the language is not spoken by everyone in Wales - the industrial south in particular speaks English almost exclusively - road signs throughout the nation are bilingual, so a sign for the capital city would read both Cardiff and Caerdydd, and there are Welsh language TV and radio channels. The Welsh are, in general, a working class nation, with hill farmers in north and mid Wales, and - until the very the recent past - miners, dockers and steel workers in the south. We pride ourselves on our strong identity based on hard work, sport (primarily through the national sport of Rugby, where we have consistently punched well above our weight, considering our relatively small population of a little over 3 million), poetry, song, friendliness, a mental and physical toughness that has led to a refusal to be dominated or patronised and a sense of being different and unique, though not better, than those English cousins just over the border. Obviously, given our physical closeness to an open border, most Welsh families have English relatives, and vice-versa, especially with the number of English men who moved to south Wales during the industrial revolution, when jobs in mining, docking and the iron and steel industries were plentiful. That border has led to a proliferation of beautiful and historic castles, built down the centuries and throughout the entire country by various Kings in an attempt to dominate, subjugate and basically keep the Welsh in order, not always successfully 😉. Indeed, the first castle built by William the Conqueror, back in 1067, a year after he defeated the English at Hastings, was at the Welsh border town of Chepstow, in an attempt to control both the Welsh, and the confluence of two very important border rivers, the Severn and the Wye. History has created a strong affiliation between the nations of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (indeed, Ireland as a whole) in that we share a Celtic strain that runs deep within our DNA, and a mutual distrust of the English government, created by centuries of repeated attempts to dominate us as a people, to misuse our natural resources, and of taking advantage of what has always been considered as cheap and easily abused labour, which led to the working-class uprising of the Chartists. If you want to start any further research into Welshness in general, read ‘Rape of the Fair Country’, a novel by Alexander Cordell, based around the Chartist movement, or any of Dylan Thomas’s poems. I hope that helps. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Cymru am byth.
