I’m 6 months postpartum and I’m starting to run again…slowly lol. I had really bad pelvic girdle pain and instability throughout pregnancy and postpartum. I’m just now feeling stable enough to start again.

I’m at 12 wks and the other day I sprayed a wasp nest then ‘ran’ away… forget the pelvic floor it was the breasts full of milk that stopped me 😂

Such a great video ❤ I have been a runner for 15 years, and when I had my first baby, I didn’t know how to start running again once I had him! I ran throughout pregnancy so getting back into it wasn’t bad and I started stroller running with him when he was 5 months old. Now, 3 kids later and on my own postpartum recovery journey for a third time, I stroller run with the boys! It is an AMAZING workout. Gets me in the best shape of my life, really! I highly recommend it to moms trying to get a workout in while raising babies!

What is your workout schedule like now? You mentioned that you do two runs a week but how many strength days do you get in plus what does the spacing look like since you need one full rest day after a run.

I’m 10 months postpartum, I love running and I feel what your saying about execute runs! But like you said our pelvic floors need more recovery days. I can’t really do runs on hard lifting days. Pelvic is like help, I’m doing pelvic exercises and it’s becoming stronger and I’m not feeling the heaviness anymore. So if anybody struggling with this, do your pelvic exercise they will help!

Really looking forward to going back to running after having this baby (any day now!). I still want to run a marathon about 2 years postpartum, but I'm going to take things slow.

The ones that zip up from the front lol I wore these during the insanity classes at the gym. They held everything in, they’re burpee approved

Runners buggy will combine a hobby and some baby time. And when she grows, she'll enjoy the view while you run.

I started running after kids, and after 125+ pounds of weight lose, it's a hard time with all the damage my joints took from being so heavy, but going slow

This video made me feel a lot less antsy about getting back into the gym. I did try and workout at 4 weeks pp (before my drs approval.. I know 🤦🏼‍♀️) and something just didn’t feel right in my abdomen. I was worried I was losing everything I had worked so hard for during pregnancy. My endurance I’m not as concerned about but this makes me feel a lot better about taking my time and getting back in the gym when I finally get the thumbs up from my doc.

Please tell me if running on treadmill will decrease my breastmilk supply or not ? How has cardio on treadmill affected your milk supply?

It does if you don’t eat half of what you burned, so if you burned 300 calories make sure your eating 100 calories more. I always had this question but you just gotta see where it goes. I eat 2,000 calories when she was only breastfeeding and now she’s eating food. She nurses less, I eat less and I do feel less hungry.
