@@TheKonkaman No idea, the only screenshot there is for them is a picture of a selection of four visible options for projects to start in a new sub-tab of the research tab (that's right, the research tab now has two sub-tabs - the normal research sub-tab and an "Experimental Facilities" sub-tab). That screenshot also contains the V1 Project, Wasserfall Project, and Rocket Interceptors.

With the release of this video, they also released the Steam pages for the DLCs, and the one for Götterdämmerung actually has eight screenshots that kinda show hints of what the new content will contain. I would recommend looking at that, as there's much you can gleam from those screenshots (assuming you don't mind spoiling yourself a lil' bit on the content ahead). But anyway, I'm just excited for the idea of making landship tanks because I'm a fan of the Valkyria Chronicles franchise - it's so, so incredibly dumb, and almost certain to be a waste of time and resources, but I love it.

Also, I feel this should be mentioned, but it looks like the Inner Circle will actually involve some new mechanics with the focus tree itself, not just some Balance of Power thing. There's a new GUI element in Germany's tree in one of the screenshots that shows three blank slots and seven small portraits of the various important figures of Nazi Germany (people like Todt, Hess, and Speer), as well as a focus tree branch dedicated to each of those figures.

Belgium did very things in the Congo. They had force labour with death penalty for missing your rubber quota. Rebellions were brutally surpressed. Around 1,5 to 13 million died.

I don't mind focus trees for neutral and/or annexed countries, the more the better. But I've always hated the way they've prioritized DLCs. Italy, Soviet Union, Finland and now Germany took way too much time in my opinion. The game is 8 years old and we've only received "important" content in the past few DLCs(South America excluded)

@@Pydgin,Turning to a more Iron Sky approach🤔, could be interesting as a possible rough, in a case of desperatism to maintain the spirit of the nation, the other being an underground sect to crawl slowly out back to what the nation was before collapse. But we might not see that, just yet, and Man in the High Castle will be at our disposable as a valid approach, maybe for more than the Germans Reich, but the German imperium or Communists along with other nations having similar opportunities, maybe. Via modding we might be able see the Iron Sky aspects come into the full. Maybe, all it takes is the right voices to fuel inspiration for the possibilities of sub or full mods of that focus.

Japan once again left in a shamelessly outdated state. Points to argue for why Japan should take precedence over Germany in terms of content: - Japan waged war far longer than Germany, both starting years earlier in China and ending much later. - Japanese campaigns touches on practically all areas of warfare: land, sea, and air. - Japan even holds the honor of the only nation that got nuked in anger... well, let's all hope it stays that way. Reasons why PDX seem to ignore Japan: - Germany first to appease the wehraboos. - Reworking Japan also needs reworking the navy - most Hoi4 players are from Europe and US. Americans, despite arguably the most prolific belligerent that fought in Asia during ww2, don't care as much about their Pacific and asian campaigns. gods damn it, i just want a better naval war mechanics.

Love the gigantic price tag on this one for basically only one interesting country. Poor Japan is gonna have to wait because of countries that really didn’t need a focus tree since they are either literally the Congo, get annexed via event or get steamrolled lmao I understand why they did it. We will probably receive Japan, Siam, India + some Asian Minor next year. Nonetheless it d have been nice to see at least a minor rework of the historical tree, since they are borderline unplayable It d have been cool to see a paratrooper rework as well or at least some adjustments I m aware that a country pack is included but that’s just a way to force it onto you because nobody but ppl like me buy it
