Gus March-Phillips was killed on September 12, 1942 during a failed off the books mission called Operation Aquatint. He and a team of 11 other operatives were supposed to land on Normandy Beach by boat and sabotage a German comms post in an effort to boost Allied morale. One of the teams got discovered by a patrol dog and the rest were killed in action, killed in captivity, fates unknown, all with only 4 survivors.

For the real story, look up Operation Postmaster. Also, there is a book (forget what it is called, it's on the wiki page though) that this movie is actually based on loosely.

Not my favorite Guy Ritchie movie. Lacks the humor that we usually get with his movie. Plus, I actually got bored in the last battle. Watching them walk around shooting people for like 10 min. tired of hearing that silencer.
