Lol. I worked for instacart. I delivered to a house at night. They had a glass window in their front door. When I looked inside there were mannequins set up in the living room sitting around like they were a family watching TV. I left the groceries on the door step and got the hell outta there.

Lmao I know about the mannequin thing! I knew a lady that was super paranoid about being robbed or broken in to so she would put mannequins around her house to make the house seem full and “to ward off” any robbers. But I think it just made people think she was a serial killer. Same result tho

I was delivering for postmates one night & this shit took me down like 12 long winding dark ass roads in the woods. Not a street light in sight. Then when it was like “1 min away” I had to drive down a long ass dark ass dirt road then the gps literally took me in a circle and back to the top of the dirt road! When I finally make it to the supposed addy it’s like your location is on your right. Look to my right and see no other than a fucking CORNFIELD. So I finally call the woman who’s grocery it is and explain to her what’s going on and she hit me w/ “oh just follow the water tower”... WTF? Ion even see a water tower and if I did HOW could I follow it? I took that shit right back to Walmart. “Customer Unreachable”. HELL nah

Also, my mom is a delivery driver for dominoes and for door dash and she has so many weird stories like this about sketchy people trying to make her come inside their houses. Or they want her to put sodas in their fridge and stay a while and not leave. And she’s overly nice so she does it, but she always calls me like, I had to get the guck out of there! That lady had 15 cats and half her face was missing. Lol One time she told me she made a delivery and she swears they had a child possessed by the devil. They had a little girl with these huge black eyes and the girl came up and scratched her really hard on the arms and made my mom’s arm bleed! And the child started laughing. And the parents just laughed it off like, oh that’s just something she does. WHAT DO YOU MEAN??

So this person was really dusty and disheveled, and not because they were poor, but just because rich get passes for a lot of things, including not being well-groomed. And 2. A lot of Black Americans refer to age as dust. So getting older can be getting some dust on ya.

They are Independent contractors and they are only required to deliver to the door. You can ask them but more than likely they will decline unless you get a people pleaser.

It's not required, and someone who's disabled to the point of not being able to carry stuff inside their own home would likely have a guardian or relative that you'd be handing the bags off to. Very suspicious of them to ask you to bring it in and not have that be a concern beforehand with the order.
