I haven't watched it, but I'm guessing what you and this person stand for just based on your attitude. Silence anyone who doesn't agree with you is really a close-minded way to think. I don't need to know how you guys feel to know it's going to offend me. To insist lesbians need to sleep with men so that man in a dress can get his feelings stroked is gross as hell. I don't have to hear you guys say that to know that's your view. The new (fake) trans people are trying to erase gay people and women in general. The only trans people that deserve your respect are the legitimate ones. The rest are pretending to be trans because they need to be marginalized. Notice how over 90% of the fakes are white, it's because they can't be a minority otherwise. Mutilating children for a fad is not something anyone should support. If they want to cut off their body parts, let them do so when they're old enough to know that's what they really want. There are lots of detransitioners. You know why? Because the majority of so called trans kids are only that way because they've been talked into it. Any decent person would be against mutilation based on a childhood whim. Or even worse, on the whim of an irresponsible parent.

I’m not a liberal nor a conservative. I don’t agree with everything on the left or right. That being said it was pretty disappointing to see you use the privilege card for every argument. It came off as just using it to be dismissive . Honestly we have to stop using that card because in all honesty you were the most “privileged” person on the panel. But that still doesn’t negate that you’re a very intelligent woman and it would’ve been nice to see you articulate and expands on your points. Also some prompts came off as disingenuous with the responses on the liberal side and came out of fear of going against the majority. (Just my opinion; no hate)

@@biggtk I’m not assuming anything financially she was the most privileged. Her dad is an ex NFL player she grew up privileged, she lives inLA, has a huge social media during following that’s privileged. @biggtk

@@simplybri3608 I can see that a lot of y'all lack basic reading comprehension skills, which most likely explains your irrational outrage at Amber calling out privileged systems. I did not ask you whether or not you were assuming anything. I simply said, assuming that Amber was the most privileged person there, how does that INVALIDATE her calling out privileged systems? For example, if Oprah called out the fact that banks tend to deny loans to black homebuyers and business owners at higher rates than white homebuyers and business owners, would the fact that Oprah is one of the most privileged people in the world invalidate the very real statistical FACT that banks deny loans to black people at higher rates? No it wouldn't, and to focus on Oprah's privilege as a means to invalidate the truth that banks discriminate against black people, is either the behavior of bad faith actors who are purposely trying to deny the existence of privilege/marginalization, or the behavior of people who lack basic logic skills to understand that more than one thing can be true at the same time without one of those things cancelling out the other. A person can be both privileged AND correct in their claims that systemic privilege does exist. Please read some literature on LOGIC and FALLACIES.
@simplybri3608
@simplybri3608 10 ай бұрын
@@biggtk you obviously lack basic comprehension skills. Stop gaslighting and trying to invalidate a legitimate criticism because you’re hyper emotional. You implied I assumed let’s not play semantics here.. we’re the only 2 people that are conversing therefore you are saying I implied let’s not play stupid. she never called out anything she just simply said over and over you’re privileged without giving any context to back that up. She simply implied someone was privileged because they’re white. If Oprah would’ve simply just said “you’re privileged” without giving any context or facts to back that up then yes the same applies. To simply just say your privileged and when someone challenges you on that and you can’t provide any context or facts to back it up you’re using it as a scapegoat to shut down conversation simply because you do not agree and that’s not how a debate works. & what Oprah spoke about what discrimination in housing not privilege. It’s obvious you’re just too hyper emotional to engage in a conversation without trying to conflate different things so I’m going to end the conversation here. Good day.

One thing i noticed tho is they kinda did pay homage to the old leftists who fought to get us to this point. I think their perspective was more like “shit was really really bad before. the fact that we’ve come this far, if we keep pushing limits, esp in ways that are likely harmful to women and minors, we can end up causing more problems than helping progress” if that makes sense. I thought the conversation was interesting. As a black masc woman child of immigrants who’s “triple oppressed” i think the real privilege is the ability or be sensitive to words and language instead of needing to keep it stepping, be who you want and focus on other more pressing matters

I believe in this video she quite literally stated that she’s aware of her privileges. She was mentioning privilege as an overall statement, so that others could hopefully realize that they maybe in a privileged position, so they could become less ignorant. There are many different kinds of privileges, that people maybe consciously aware of or not. She is literally apart of oppressed groups/ marginalized groups. You CANNOT deny that, no matter how hard you try. Whether we’d like to admit it or not, there are racists out there still, homophobes, transphobes, ableist people, misogynists and so on… the world is a cruel place. Financially, yes she’s privileged, but that doesn’t derive from her other societal disadvantages.

Hello everyone, my name is Yulia and I am a lesbian from Russia. As many may know, in recent years laws have been changing in our country that worsen the situation of the LGBT community, take away the rights that we previously had and make life unbearable for some people. When I watched that video, the first thought that arose in my head was that they are privileged. people are so accustomed to the fact that they have already been accepted into society to some extent that they have forgotten how bad it can be and how easy it is to take away the rights of a certain group of people. I want to thank you for covering this topic. It’s very sad that they all understood what you said about privileged cereals because, unfortunately, the better people live, the fewer problems they are able to notice.

What I gathered immediately watching you in that video is that on top of everything else, you just seemed deeply disappointed...by the oppossing viewpoints, by the other side's lack of willingness to actually listen and consider anyone elses experience outside of their own. They weren't very open to changing their mind, and they were very condescending when it came to opposing viewpoints. There were a lot of statements like, "I think its complete bullshit that____, but you're entitled to believe whatever you want". Thats a really tough environment to be in, and you handled yourself very well.

I don’t think you’re a bad person but I shouldn’t be ashamed about my color at all. There’s a lot of hypocrisy in the liberal side. I’m not either a democrat nor I’m a republican. I’m very moderate though my views are more conservative since I grew up religious and a very cultured environment. I have to mention that even the democrats are very misogynistic. The idea of “trans women being women” is extremely misogynistic and disrespectful for biological women. The delusion in that mentality is insane. I’m gay and I’m very open minded that’s why I will never be a 100% on the right but the right are more logical. Sometimes I second guess a lot the mentality and sanity of leftists specially feminists and lgbtq activists. I really appreciate trans people who embrace their origins and biology and are not ashamed of it and now they’re leaving their lives happily as trans like Buck Angel and Gabbi Tuft.

Just watched it. The trans issue was spoken on too much, I think it should just have focused solely on lesbian issues. I would have liked to understand what Sasha believes that she is benefiting from in society as a lesbian. In order to say you are a conservative lesbian, that means they are benefiting from who they are connecting to in their families and circles and how they present to the world because being a lesbian and solely benefiting from their sexuality would mean they would not be accepted as a conservative. Saying they are conservative because they don’t agree with pronouns and transwomen being referred to as biological women shouldn’t make them a conservative. They are conservative for other reasons if you get my drift. A conservative in today’s time is to not only be against the lesbian community but to be against women in general. The conservatives have went all the way to the right even at the expense of sacrificing women’s rights. If women’s rights are being taken the right to be a lesbian and gay marriage can be reversed as well.

Well I feel like your point would of been put across better if you actual backed up what you said. You never stated any laws connected to your claim of about 600 of them. In this video you state what they touch on but not what they are directly about. You also say they are privileged. Just because they are comfortable in there place they are now does not mean they didn't go through unprivileged states. Even people who are not privileged don't always believe what you are saying because people always have difference in opinions and beliefs and that does not always mean that because of that they are privileged. Plus in the video you kept referring to your race which had nothing to do with your point. Also just because as you state they do not present the same as you has nothing to do with how they are perceived. if someone is against lesbians that doesn't change because of appearance. As for your facts it is not 1% of trans kids detransition if you look up studies of it, it ranges between 15% to 70% (depending on the study) which either way is not 1%. and intersex people are 0.0108% of the population and have nothing to do with switching genders or having non. They are a medical anomaly that is not representatives of an entire group of people.

Hey Amber, I’m sure it’s nerve-racking being around people who set the tone very aggressively like Arielle, who you also had past harm with. I still think you did a good job despite that environment. In terms of speaking to privilege an easy way to create context around it is that a Black trans woman’s life expectancy is 30 years old. When a trans person passes their 30th birthday we call them an elder in the community. And this is due to so many reasons from healthcare to bills to hate crimes. A cis white American women’s life expectancy is 77 years old. That alone just shows that equality is in fact, not a thing.

1) Here's the thing. Conservatives say Jubilee is left leaning. Liberals say Jubilee is right leaning. Can't judge that based on comments in the section. Both sides complain about how the video is edited, conservatives have complained about the way it was edited, and now you and other liberals are/have saying/said the way the editing was shady. Jubilee is pro-clicks and are trash on the way they treat the final product, BUT they always get me with the clickbait title. 2) They should add a moderator (they did once, with Gen who has a KZbin channel by the same name) and it worked out much better. 3) They should maybe have more one-on-one conversations and pick who they invite more wisely. Arielle is passionate, I get that, but she interrupted too much including talking over her own side. Same way I feel about Blossom, every time I see that name, I already know I won't be able to finish watching the video. 4) I'm surprised you didn't come prepared with many examples because it is called a debate after all, but maybe my impression is unfairly influenced by how Jubilee chose to edit. I cant stand them. 5) Censoring drag shows that are sexually explicit, is a good thing. Not all drag is sexual, but the examples of the ones kids are present have been. I wish advocates like yourself would be nuanced and speak on the difference, condemning the ones that are inappropriate. 6) I think if you go back and watch your body language, you didn't seem to really believe your own words when you stated "we'd make it work", in response to the question "I would date a transwoman". I was surprised by your answer based on your caption from your IG post on Nov 14, 2023 promoting your interview w/ J Kiillem. Caption below: "Yes, there are some Lesbians that LOVE BISEXUALS!! But at the same time, our experience is VERY different… Bisexuals…can y’all chime in here and tell us your side?! Please! And to the Lesbians out there…how do y’all feel about Bisexuals? And why? In the longer version I mention that I think most women are on a scale of bisexuality from curious to fluid to fully bisexual, but that there are ALOT of women like myself that are NOT EVEN CLOSE to being attracted to men, but that there’s only like 15-20% of us." do you see what you chose to capitalize in the last sentence? "NOT EVEN CLOSE". Were you referring to primary or secondary characteristics? (This is a rhetorical question, unless you choose to answer. My point is lesbians like Becky/Arielle may date a transman because of their female sexed body, but would not date a transwoman because of their male sexed body. The difference is in primary and secondary characteristics). The dating question, to be honest, is one that shouldn't be discussed at all b/c it's one that is literally a "mind your business & do you". All other issues are not as easy as "just do you", but dating preferences are. I feel similar to questions like "would you date outside your race?" "would you date someone w/ kids" "Trad wife vs Dinks". Literally ppl just mind your business and stop throwing these questions out on the internet, b/c it results in a flood of comments that will offend someone who was legit just trying to mind their business. Everyone has preferences, just match up w/ whatever yours is. However, What I find odd is the dilemma lesbians find themselves in. It used to be Christians who told gay ppl that they should be attracted to the opposite sexed body despite how they feel about said sexed body. And now, it's the LGBT community shaming lesbians for saying they are not attracted to opposite sexed bodies, and are only attracted to female bodies. In other words this new LGBT community is doing what Christians did in dictating sexual orientation. Christians called sexual orientation preferences "sin" (if it was anything other than heterosexual), and now this new LGBT group calls it "bigotry" or "transphobia". Confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart, that you are what you are based how you think/feel, despite the physical reality, sounds like another religion to me. 7) You stated that LGBT ppl who are conservative are "Siding with the oppressor", however, you didn't say (or maybe you did but Jubilee edited it out) anything about Arielle's point "Queers for Palestine". I have seen Palestinians rip the pride flag out of the hands of those who held them up at a Pro Palestine rally. LGBT would literally be killed or jailed in Palestine if they went. 8) This isn't a pile on so please don't take it that way, but while Jubilee picks great topics they do a poor job living up to the expectation. Maybe you could host someone who thinks differently from you to have the discussion much better. Not Ariele, she interrupts too much LOL. I'd suggest Brad Polumbo who debated Michael Knowles (daily wire host) on the topic of trans topics. Brad is a gay man, who's libertarian/center right as he calls it, but I've seen him call out both sides equally. Another is Sara Higdon (transwoman), who I would say similar to Brad and doesnt seem extreme in either direction.

I appreciate all of the time and effort you put into this comment. You are right….both sides have complained about the videos. I just know from my point of view and someone that is always editing, that the story feels different than how I remember it. Especially with some important parts missing. Not just from the liberals side, but also the parts where we all agreed. I feel like it’s so important to show that! I would love to have a one on one convo with Becky. The way she talked and listened was respectful. Even with our opposing views I have discussed drag shows before and acknowledged the difference between these sexual drag shows versus the most common drag shows which are fun and for EVERYONE!! I personally would love to take my kids to a drag brunch, but would not take them to a night show where I feel that is more appropriate for adults. I think drag shows are amazing!! It’s an art form! I think they bring not only our community together but others as well! The straights love it too!! The video about bisexuals is specifically discussing Lesbians dating bisexuals. What I mean by me saying I’m “not even close” to being attracted to men is just that. A trans woman is a woman. I think the idea that queers shouldn’t support Palestinians because a lot of them are homophobic is ridiculous. First of all, gay people are everywhere. And there are also homophobes everywhere. Being against genocide is just that. It’s a human issue, not a gay issue. I will definitely think of an idea that I could do as a follow up for this and include some opposing sides that can be respectful. I was honestly so interested in hearing them and trying to understand where they were coming from, not battling with them. I hope I got to all or majority of your questions✨🙏🏽

I definitely think the people who watch that channel skew towards the conservative side so (at least from what I've seen in the comments) they edit the videos to cater towards them. Also a person can have privilege and still acknowledge that it exists in other ways, so I don't get why people are whining and complaining about it. I don't think Jubilee wants an actual middle ground, I think they want to have people yelling over the top of each other (why else would they have chosen A.S, who loves to be rude and only cares about hearing her own voice) because that's what's going to get people to watch the videos.

For me the first rule of communication is tone, it can really affect the willingness to listen to the person. You have two conservative lesbians, Arielle and Becky, who have two totally different tones. Arielle was the worst to listen to, quite rude if you ask me, while Becky brought her point across in a more clear and effective way. It was a tough video to watch. But needed. I’m so sorry I’m late but I posted a comment which I’m going to paste are all points I feel like we’re in each discussion + the comments opinion. “3 points I wanna touch on so bad are these. 1. The non-men thing isn’t as serious as you guys are making it. Gender is a social construct, which is why it’s so normalized to call certain things feminine when in reality it’s someone’s personality. So you can be a man and have feminine traits you’re not a woman because of that. You guys are essentially saying that. Because I can give birth I’m a woman but biologically, you’re a female, someone who can give birth but can also have a very masculine personality. 2. If you’re mad that you’re being called privileged, then you are privileged. You have the privilege to do things and not know things about certain shit and not need to understand it. When someone is telling you, you cannot understand it so therefore you cannot tell me how what is what in my personal community. There’s a difference in white lesbians and black lesbians (honestly in the lgbt in general. 3. Labels only exist as an identification for people who aren’t the norm. So when you’re excluding people, they’re going to make more labels. If you want it to stop let people be included into a community they identify in. The fact I have to explain it is so ugh in general.”
