It’s definitely hard to be taken seriously as a bisexual woman. Men think they gonna get a 3some freebie. Women think u gonna run back to a man and drop them. It's more about the dating phase when people aren't in a serious mode yet. During that time "some" bi women go back and forth. We absolutely know you can be faithful in relationships but it's that dating phase that can be naturally mixed between men and women. That's what many don't like... I’ve nearly finished reading “Sexual Fluidity” by Lisa Diamond. I was surprised at how many women identified as lesbian but still had some form of attraction towards men and had even engaged in sexual activity with men while still identifying as lesbian. I would be interested to hear your thoughts Amber and Jess, around those topics. What constitutes ‘lesbian’ to you and what constitutes ‘bisexual’, what constitutes ‘straight’. And what are the signs that a woman is each of those. I have my own thoughts and experiences but am curious amount what each of you have both seen/experienced.
@Laura-vl6db Жыл бұрын
Many lesbian women have been with men before. That’s actually how women find out they are in fact a lesbian. And women(men too)…. Are sexualities are complex. It’s hard to know the difference between platonic love, romantic love, aesthetic love, intellectual love, sexual love. Many women love penetration, even lesbian women. Does it mean they are not gay? Women crave more emotional connections. In media, you can only feel strongly for a romantic partner so if you do, of course you’re going to assume you actually “love” that person romantically even when you don’t. Heck, even love is reserved for only romance. As a society, we often expect our partner to check all the boxes for us and that’s seldom the case. However, I no longer judge sexuality by who someone is sleeping with and what they like sexuality. Our bodies are responsive to sex, no matter who it’s coming from. Lesbian women like penetration, are they straight? Are only women who uses straps and don’t like penetration the only gay ones? The real sexuality, meaning the real difference I’ve seen is romantic attraction. Also, women’s bodies responds to sex or is sexually aroused more often to things than men. Another word is sexually reactive, even if we don’t desire it.

Honestly I think most people are non labeled and/or fluid. Lesbians, like straight is just a title that most people may identify with. What I am saying, at the end of the day a person who considers themselves straight want to marry and invest time with the opposite sex. While a person who considers themself a lesbian want to marry and build a family with the same sex. According to a scientific study on human sexuality, they did a test on male participants. All of the male participants, found anal stimulation satisfying. The 100% threw me off, bc any test has a margin of error of about 3%. But they were not talking about the population of men, but male participants during the research. And 100% of the male participants found anal stimulation satisfying. That told me that most people are fluid. And heterosexuality is just a concept in Patriarchy.

@MsAaannaaa well Bisexual women have variable attraction levels between their sexual and romantic toward women and men. % will make a conscious choice to date women. These Bisexuals call themselves Febfems. 95% of Bisexuals will end up with men. There are multiple studies that consistently prove this. Women live in an aggressively Cisheterosexual society, and therefore the majority of Bisexual women will choose to be with men. Now out of that 95% Bisexual women who choose to be with men, 25 % to 30% of them are going to become Unicorn Hunters. @Luna-lo6gx Жыл бұрын
@@hell0w0rld12I’m not ever going to tell anyone who to date and I’m a lesbian. Who to be clear, are also marginalized and actually more often victims to relationship violence than other sexualities. I'm so interested to see this video amber! It's honestly great to see the straight up out there experience and realness.. but I remember when you did a video like this with case, and it caused a bit of a bite back from some bi women.. but this stuff needs to be talked about! To me, it's still the question of being out or not. It's totally ok to explore and experiment, but own it! I won't date anyone who isn't out, if it's a bi person or a pan person, I need to know they are out, loud and proud on their own terms, that they've thought it through and have the self respect for who they love because then I know they will respect the love they have for me, and our relationship. I don't want to be used, or used for someone to justify themselves, or blamed for turning someone, or whatever else. And I wouldn't be with someone who offloaded self responsability on any other topic as well. I wouldn't be with someone who doesn't own their life, and what they're putting out into the world, or what they want, or what they're creating. Otherwise, it's not an equal relationship. I have been people's firsts, and that's been great, but it's been great because those people are taking the time to reflect, consider themselves for themselves, and owning their business. And obviously there are plenty of out and proud lesbians and queers who don't own their business at all and are quite happy throwing projections all over the show.. but I steer clear of those as well. So, some of it's about maturity, some of it's about personality, but for sure, some of it's boring old homophobia still, and that has to be called out, discussed, and people have to be given the space to feel sad, hurts, mad etc and work out how to protect our sacred space, because we do deserve respect as queer people. We all work hard to deal with our own internalised homophobia, the last thing we need is newbies bringing in truck loads more un-processed homophobia and dumping it at our feet.

As a bisexual, I think the best way to weed out pansexuals/bisexuals who don’t seek women out romantically would be to ask them where they fall on the split scale model. For instance, I am a biromatic bisexual meaning I can have both romantic and sexual relationships with men and women. I am also demisexual (for context). If someone identifies as a heteroromantic bisexual, I am less inclined to interact with them sexually and definitely not romantically simply because we’re incompatible value wise. This way you can avoid a lot of unnecessary hurt and BS.

@danielle7127 Жыл бұрын
@@ramonsanders651 Yeah I agree with you completely. That’s lowkey why I made the initial comment because I’ve always felt like most of the issues people have with bisexuals/pansexuals has to do with them not understanding the wide varieties of ways we identify outside of our sexual attraction. Someone saying they’re bisexual is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how we interact romantically and sexually.

As a feminine Lesbian, I've heard so many of my stud/masculine friends complain about straight women, but they can't seem to stay away from them lol. Not to generalize all studs, but I feel like many of them are driven by ego and the desire to obtain the "unattainable," rather than finding a partner who is actually compatible, and who isn't afraid to love them out loud. Emotional and sexual connections are important, but if you're involved with someone who isn't comfortable enough to love you, claim you, and consider building a life with you, then the emotional connection becomes a moot point. It was actually kind of sad to hear JKiilem say that studs will accept being a "placeholder" because no one should accept that for themselves.

1:25 That is so annoying when “straight” women do that. It completely invalidates sapphic sexuality, and goes into that “it doesn’t count without a d*ck” bs. It’s totally not cool. Storytime, if you want: I had a relationship with a “straight” girl who led me on (best friend type of thing). She told me she felt something for me, but she had a guy “friend” who she was paying more attention. I didn’t want to accuse her of cheating, and I didn’t want to look clingy. So I ignored it. But she kept getting more emotionally unavailable, and it got to the point where she didn’t want to hear about how I felt and only wanted me when she had something shitty going on. She invalidated my feelings and blew me off. Eventually, she told me she thought it was wrong for queer people to have children because they “need people from both genders to be healthy.” Right around that time, she stated watching Ben Shapiro’s content. She really wanted kids, and she shortly after left me. I really felt like shit afterwards, and I have honestly been burned by bisexual and straight women who are experimenting. But I’m trying to work through it.

We were immature and had deep unresolved family issues. First gay people I hanged out with were from online gay forum and I was so dissapponted when I discovered biphobia. You'd think someone who looks for tolerance and acceptance from heteros wouldn't discriminate within the community. That was 15 years ago and it still friggin exists. Ironically enough, I've seen many "players" amongst lesbians, who behave like hetero street thugs and I'm disgusted by their demeanor. They'd fuck just anything and are no better than average men. As someone who identifies as straight if you think all women are bisexual than that includes lesbians too .I didn't watch the video but after seeing straight I clicked on it and went straight to the comment section .🤷🏽♀️.

I can already tell you why Amber gets people wanting to commit..... I can tell Amber is a romantic just by the way she talks! I've had women come to me saying they don't want nothing serious and be the first to want a relationship few months in. That includes bisexual women. They might not even want the commitment really but just don't want you to give that attention to someone else because they know its rare. Its because we really take care of our women and make them feel special. The " I dropped flowers off for you, open your door, feed you poetry lines" type shit. To me I don't feel like I'm going out of my way to do that its just flirting. So even if I don't want a relationship I end up being offered one. 🤣🤣

Ive never been a fan of bisexual or "straight" women because I do feel like they will just go back to men or at least be thinking about them. But, I respect everyones opinion. Men are just intimidated by agressors..so we are the "body count" ... but, if someone is fooling around with another person or persons... then they all count.... good talk

I don't do straight Women or bisexuals. Too much drama and game. Straight Women will be with u, and "experiment" with u. Straight Women knows by being with u, it does not mess up Her game with men.. Some men find it fascinating..And dont consider the relationship part of her bc. Bisexuals?! No. I had a bad experience and She came back pregnant. I was like,.."go back to the daddy". I respect wlw or people that are non labeled. I feel Women who considers themselves non label are at least honest. Just my opinion 🤷♀️

if straight men get called gay for being attracted to masculine women ... then what does that mean for us fem lesbians who are mostly attracted to mascs ? kind of reinforces the idea that we secretly want men when we do not but it seems like you also believe that " most of us are lowkey bisexual " ://
@AmbersCloset Жыл бұрын
That’s a great point. I definitely don’t want to be a part of reinforcing that stereotype🙏🏽
@ehiobanor Жыл бұрын
You make a great point, but if we look at certain societal implications and account for men’s contributions to heteronormativity, or patriarchy in general it is more likely that they do have repressed desires and attractions for the same sex. Of course it’s not fair to generalize, but I think two things can be true at once.

Yeah, I’m very open about my sexuality. If I’m attracted to you, then I’m attracted to you. We’re just spirits in human drag. 🤷🏽♀️ I’m happy that I’m open minded in this lifetime. And I used to dress more masc when I was in college and ALWAYS used to get hit on by straight men. It’s like a conquest to them. But them niggas just gay lmao

No they are not gay .men can like pretty men . But In this context you are a woman so that dosent make Dem gay .

Just cause a few do or think that way, not all. It is hard to date a stud or lesbian because of the other 🤷🏽♀️
@wokemanishboi50039 ай бұрын
For clarification. Even though there may be SOME men who are low-key gay and find studs attractive for that very reason. Most us know that regardless of how masculine you want to dress. A fine woman is a fine woman, and we can still see your lady lumps underneath all of those clothes. That said, you're STILL a woman at the end of the day, which makes you appealing regardless.🤷🏿♂️
@Justin-st6og8 ай бұрын
Common sense thinking. Most studs see themselves as men so they confuse what they have vs real masculinity

I don't completely agree with ya'll, some straight men like all types of women no matter what they look like. ( I'm a masculine woman who is straight/pan, but I'm not attracted to trans men or women at all, just feminine men or in-between men who aren't too masculine or too dominant. I'm also attracted to a lesbian shemale her male genitals and not necessarily the lesbian shemale herself ) What I meant to say here is that not every man is "gay", but lately you see a lot of men doing it with each other, yes that's right !!
@damnboy-xl2jc10 ай бұрын
How could you be straight if you like trans women? You sound so deeply closeted and trasphobic. Girl get better
@mjp.7765Ай бұрын
For my side, except teenager’s relationship with boys and father of my daughter (which was short); I use to date only woman since the age of 18. As lesbian are often complicated, I am thinking if bisexuality could be an option. Imagining myself having s with a man makes me feel 😵💫🙂↔️ I could have feeling for men for sure but without the magic word “s..”
