Got one. Had it for 3 years also have the tri blade attachment for heavier grasses, weeds and it will cut down small trees 1 - 2 " diameter. Looking into other attachments. Only issue I have is the weight of the unit with the battery. Not as young as I used to be and after 30 minutes or so of using it I have to take a break. I would suggest a battery pack for the battery like the leaf blower backpacks with just a cord to connect it to the unit. I am trying out a wheel attachment on the weed eater to see if that helps also. The unit works very well and you are right about restringing. Easiest I have ever done.

As for the Bump Feed system on the bottom you don't bang it on the pavement or hard surfaces ? That's common sense . You always bump on the grass or soft part of the lawn . This will make it last much longer .

Thanks for the video, well done. I just picked one of these up and am excited to get the yard looking sharp. Your string reload demo was nice, thank you.

All bumb and feed line trimmers heads eventually wear away.If you use .095 line it will cut through heavier growth that much easier.

Great explanation 👍🏼! By the way, when encountering tall weeds like the one featured in the video; try to cut from the top down... It's actually mentioned in the instruction booklet as I too was experiencing issues. Thanks!

Shorter string is less weight on the motor. So, in turn you get improved battery life.

less torque, so less power required

The Ryobi Web site says using the shorter string length uses less battery power, so the battery will last longer.

Wish I knew if I could replace the auto feed head with a bump feed head. Watched videos of how to remove the auto feed feature but I would just like a bump feed head.

The benefits of having a shorter cord is in yards that have colour bond fencing. There is a 5 inch gap that you need to get into to cut the grass that eventually grows in the actual fence overtime long cord cannot get all of that grass cut and it’s annoying to dig the dirt out of the bottom of the colour bond fence, another option would be to poison that grass but who wants to go and spray poison everywhere😂 If the longer cord hits the colour bond fence, everyone knows about it it is loud which kind of defeats the purpose of having a quiet string trimmer with a battery

I just got one...connecting the actual weed wacker end pole to the base pole is not smooth...you almost have to jam it in to get the attachment to connect...I actually had to use wd-40 to make it smoother so that the 2 pieces could connect and fit.

I have the same one My battery last at least 40 minutes. I use thicker string And it cuts through little branches like you had that you were having problems with. One out of 5 honestly I give it at least a 4 star. I mean I love it.

Shorter string, less strain for high speed, longer battery life. It would be ideal to go around the house

@ColdWarVet607 Жыл бұрын
You have to get a brush cutter attachment? Ryobi said there are blades for this. Anyone know or have? Do you need a separate attachment, put the blades in place of string on this head or need a separate head? Theres nothing in the manual about this, nothing in the spare blade packs that says what models or how to install. Ive never seen a single company that explains how anything they make, works. Yikes!

Just buy a second battery. I got a second battery with a blower. Wired sucks. What if you have a large yard? What if you have flowerbeds you have to constantly move wires around? Trees? What if the cord gets a nick in it as you're pulling it around? Once you have a couple of batteries in your garage you can just grab tools and go anywhere you need to instantly all around your front yard, back yard, side yard, the street, your neighbor or mother-in-law's place. It's effortless.

You’re not supposed to strike any bump head off of concrete or pavement or bricks. Ya know, avoid the hard stuff. Try bumping it off of the grass. 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻✌🏻
