My 82 year young hubby knows more than I do, but only with a PC, I'm the one with a smart phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, he doesn't want anything to do with it 🤭, I don't blame him! When it works fine we're good & we like it, when it does updates & freezes, and appears glitchy, I hate it! A real love / hate relationship!!

I would plug it in any way. My phone was barely on 1%, So if you cannot 'turn off' plug it in anyway. Have faith and don't give up so easily. If you think it is not possible- you are right. Be patient. All good things take time.

Thank you for your video. Thought I would need to go through all these steps. My 86 mom continues to tells me to that the cable does not work. Gosh- I have purchased tooooo many new cables and adaptors. Today I asked her if she ever turned her phone off to charge- answer was a surprisng no. I turned it off. Wow- it went up from 1% charged to 6 % charged. Guess, I found out the problem. I subscribed for the future. I plan to get an Android for my second phone. I need a phone to keep at home for my house phone. I like the way that you speak clear and slow and you review. Many videos made by American people do not do that.

what if my phone doesn't detect charger at all, nothing glows or anything. I have already ruled off dirt or lint in charging port and it is definitely not charger either coz I have tried 2 chargers and those chargers can charge other things

@@yves5909 for some reason after factory reset the charge started to working. But it took 2 trys and I ask other pixel user, some pixel don't work idk y.

Probably salt water (sweat) got inside your phone, charging port or battery. Did you have phone on you while you were sweating? Like working out? Phones are water resistant to fresh water only. Salt water oxidizes the components
