Thank you so much for pointing out the tool for making the .conf file to configure the WiFi! I bought my RPi and hat separately and wasn't able to get it to show up on the network. Adding the .conf file did the trick and now I am up and running!

Interesting, will have to take a look at pi-star. Really hardly use amateur radio now as there seems virtually zero activity where I live. Got my UK licence back in 1975.

These hotspots allow communication worldwide on any number of digital protocols. There are repeaters that are linked or configured with these protocols and allow mobile operation with the same technology. It has really opened a new world in terms of ham radio. I run two hotspots in my truck with two different radios (I have a tiny router that provides internet access). It's a lot of fun to play with.

I need help with how to get my pi star to pull up the wifi screen because I have done everything right until that point as you said in the video I cant get to configuration page

It should create a hotspot you can connect to if it can't connect to a previously connected wifi AP. How are you trying to access it?

How can you fix this if you have the version that doesn’t have the sd card? I only have a green and red led flashing and a white on the bottom board

Nice. Should have guessed you were interested in Ham Radio from all the stuff you're doing anyway.

Indeed. I've been licensed for many years.
