First time I heard Gods voice I was 22, altough back then I didnt referre to it as Gods voice. I called it just source. I had started to do zen practice with a teacher in the cloud and water sangha in Stockholm. About the first thing I did when l had learned meditation, was to ask questions inwards and wait for the answer. So, I asked the question "What am I", and meditated repeating the question, not giving up, just continueing asking the question and meditate. Suddenly it was a voice that told me very clearly "The "I" is the source of the free will" ... it felt like a boom. Things fell in place, I started to see things with new clarity. Understanding what the "I" is changed things. The "I" is the center point, the focal point, of the soul. The "I" is the very connection point with God. The "I" is what sees and hears. The "I" is what creates the "Self" or the "Ego" through its focus. All is created through the lens that is the "I". Without you even knowing what the "I" is, you where creating in blindness. The "I" is the focal point through which the world, your world, is created, because it is not possible to percieve anything outside of yourself. There is no world outside of you, that you can take part of. The I is what has a mind, what has a body, what sees and hears. The I is what the spirit projects through, and thus creates the world according to your inclinations. So, dont corrupt it. (Not saying that the spirit does not also projects through other channels). And the "I" it is the source of the free will. Everything from this point. You can say that God has reflected himself and so created the "I" that is you. A unique focal point in the universe. A point with its own perspectives that no one else has, and so it adds to the Glory of God. This separation makes Love possible. The I is the Logos of God reflected. Being the Logos of God reflected, it can create, and it does so incessantly, for good and bad, until you learn to master that process. That was the revelation :) During the years I have not spoken to God as much as I could have. Almost never actually, and I have done it very half hearted. Recently I asked him about things that I wanted. He responded with silence, I guess he wants me to be more serious :) But he did not get rid of me, and after a while he answered "Okay, if you want that, go and take ice baths............ and be less easily perturbed" :) So, now icebathing is the new thing (and I am less easily perturbed). -It is so easy to do what he says, when he says it. Praying the Lord brings you someone special, sister in Christ! May all the desires of your heart be released unto you in the power of Jesus name! It is obvious that relationship you desire already exist with God, rejoice for his will has been fulfilled in your life for that relationship and truth is what he desired with you! A just as I am communicating with you in vivid detail, Gods steps will provide just as adequate insight! Because this is his ent and need, and that is to be in relationship with you and love you, and he has accomplish that in your life tremendously, regardless of any error you're capable of making! So I tell you Holy Spirit, reach to our sister Naomi, and bless her with the gifts you have had waiting for her! Amen!
