for me as the L of LGBT, it’s just nice to see people who are “like you” and part of that community, wherever they are! i’ve had a lot of people say that gay people have equal rights and are treated equally now so it’s not a big deal, but i have definitely still had personal experiences of homophobia. seeing someone you look up to proudly be what you’ve been unjustly attacked for is... comforting? i’m not quite sure the right word for it, but it’s like a hug. ❤️

If you need a "chill out" game, try Stardew Valley! It's SO chill, and the soundtrack is bangin'! Edit to add: As a shop owner, tackling customers that are trying to scam/take advantage of you for their benefit is HARD AS HELL. The only way I have ever been able to combat it is replying to their reviews publicly, so that at least of clients/potential clients who read reviews can see both sides of the "argument." In certain cases for specific plants, I have to photograph the order being packaged and to show the condition prior to shipping, and to prove my side when they come at me with complaints. I never send them, and just keep them in a file on my computer. Ready in my back pocket, just in case.

yeah my dad is in the tech industry and he says that the results speak for themselves. if you can do something, and someone needs what you can do, they just have to suck it up. before tech sucked, but now they're becoming more inclusive there. business on the other hand... i go to Carnegie Mellon university in Qatar and in my year in my major(biological sciences), i am one of two men in my class of 19. my professors are mostly men but they treat everyone equally. i love it here because i find that women tend to work harder and be more serious than men, and I'm not saying i work harder than the average man (i don't) but just be being surrounded by people who are serious about what they do inspires me to do better. i know that i have to push for equality as much as my female counterparts in the workforce because men who treat women like crap won't listen to one so i have to call it out when necessary.

Video game production is notoriously brutal. Many studios expect “crunch” when nearing a deadline and is not unheard of for programmers to have a cot or napping couch in the office so they can work overnight with only a few hours of sleep. It’s a cut throat industry too. It can be hard to have a full time job, many people work on contract and once the game is released they’re laid off. I don’t know if Kaylee’s previous company works this way but it is typical of the industry on a whole and I don’t blame anybody for getting out.

Kaylee, I just wanted to say I had the same exact experience with men and women at university. I studied Computer Science and then switched and got my degree in Electrical Engineering and was one of about 3-4 girls. I never once was I treated any differently until I got out of college and into the world. But I feel ya on that point!!

My partner's friend told her that as of thix week it is no longer legal to import Monstera into Korea, since it is in the family with Bananas, and therefore might be infected with Radopholus similis. Have you heard of this issue and if so how do you think it will impact the sales of said species (family?) globally?

Philodendrons were also banned for a while due to some sort of pest found in a batch. A greenhouse owner recently told me they will be hard to come by soon. I live in Korea, too!

My boyfriend goes to school for Software Engineering Technology and I can confirm, terrible at naming at things. Every video game character he has is named the same thing, perhaps repeating the last letter if the name is taken. He does not stray. Also, a few lovely names he's given to some of my plants: Monstera Deliciousa, named It's Not Delivery, It's Deliciosa Dahlia, named Dyallia Philodendron Micans, named Mykt (pronounced as Mike) Fittonia White Anne, named Fiona Jade Pothos, one named Pot, one named Those And my favourite, an Echeveria 'Perle Von Nurnberg' Variegata named Pussy Blizzard. I have no explanation for this. ETA: My egghead self out here thinking A=Asexual or Agender and thinking 23rd letter of LGBTQIA+ is A for Agender. Read other comments to see what Kaylee may have actually meant and it makes much more sense. Thanks Jeri Parker!
