Been a long time I don't share a flexibility routine :) This video is a very requested one by many of you and that is how to do a side split! I was very stiff prior to begin my flexibility journey and this is a pose that I was able to achieve relatively quickly. Be consistent, be patient and don't push your body too far too fast and I guarantee that you will get the split in just a few months or even weeks depending on your starting point and the amount of effort you put into your practice. As always, stay strong, stay balanced and be safe.
Much love to you all,
Gabo

Brother, I have a question, I'm having problems balancing skill training, with strength training and flexibility. What's your approach? As always, awesome video, I really love this follow alongs!
@SaturnoMovement
@SaturnoMovement 6 жыл бұрын
The Miguel Runa will definetly do a video about this brother! But in short: short skill sessions of no more than 20 min (even twice a day). Strength 3-4x a week short sessions as well either after your skill training or in a separate session. Finally flexibility at the end of every workout and DAILY. Hope that helps:)

A follow along video of lower back flexibility/mobility would be perfect for the pike and pancake, because in the forward folds if you are tight in that area you will try to stretch your hamstrings more and more and you will injury yourself. Seeing your folds Gabo your lower back has a pretty nice mobility, that way you take away a lot of work from your hamstrings and is the way to do it with perfect form.

BTW if you add pigeon pose right before the split that would open your hips even more (specially if you have the bend leg at 90º), and you will give a nice stretch to your glutes and lower back too.

Hey bro I've been following this routine for a couple of weeks now and the progress is amazing! I have a few questions i'm hoping you could answer. Would it be best to do this routine after a leg day or on a day I work different muscle groups since technically they are both breaking down the muscles, and also since I'm incorporating a pancake stretching routine should they be spread out a couple of days for the muscle fibers to heal and do some passive stretching daily on top of these more aggressive stretching routines? Keep up the great content! This channel will blow up soon!
