The YTPC is very welcoming to anyone regardless of gender, race, religion, politics, occupation, country, that doesn't even come into it, we all gravitate to a common bond that unites us all, a passion for pipes, tobacco and tobacciana that we all enjoy. Everyone's channel is varied and unique in what or how they want to present. I have got to know many great people in this community, and you see that great friendships are made. There are presenters whose partners don't smoke a pipe and they are equally welcomed whenever they appear on their partners channel. I'm of the opinion that smoking a pipe is good for the soul, it slows you down to a more relaxed pace, it may even add years to ones life 😊✌️

I just started smoking two months ago and have really enjoyed thus far. Learning all the nuances, and tobaccos, and pipes, etc. has been enjoyable, despite moments of frustration like tongue bite and same tobaccos not tasting the same the 2nd, 3rd time. But overall this journey has been quite enjoyable and very relaxing. It's been a great outlet for breaking away from the hustle and bustle of life. I can relate to a lot of what you mention in this video. I'm a pastor and in my circles there is a very negative view towards smoking period - kind of like the majority of the world. I had the same mentality until a couple of months ago - when I started researching the subject. Memories of my dad is also what got me started. Actually, it was a strange out-of-the-blue video YT suggested of Malcom Guite. There he was all tucked away into his cozy little study reading a book and smoking a pipe, and immediately the aroma of my dad's pipe tobacco came back to me from 40+ years ago. I'm very thankful for the TYPC because I don't know anyone else who smokes, and I've learned a ton from all the KZbin contributors. Thank you!

Nice video. It’s interesting how you got started. I didn’t have any pipe smokers in my family. Tobacco chewers and cigarette smokers. I smoked cigarettes for ten years but didn’t smoke anything from 1980 to 2006. I found a pipe show in Chicago while on a business trip in 2006. Bought my first real pipe there. Didn’t really take up pipe smoking seriously until the winter of 2022. There are a bunch of us characters here on the ytpc.

Great video, thanks for sharing some of your life story with us. I smoked cigarettes for 23 years, stopped last September, best decision I ever made. Whatever you do in your video journey, just make sure you keep being you. You bring a certain uniqueness, and that’s a great thing.

Interesting story. My wife’s step mother was from Germany. She had an Aunt in Germany who was in her 90’s, who always smoked a pipe.

That’s cool! My mom‘s dad smoked a pipe. He was from Germany. He passed away when I was very young and I don’t really remember him unfortunately. There used to be a small rack of pipes in the family, but they have disappeared. I sure wish I had them. I think it’s very special and meaningful when someone can have a pipe that belongs to somebody in their family. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Boy, have I heard that punishment before. My mom made my brother eat cigarettes when she caught him picking up one of my dads. They quit before I was born, and they were never for me. I do love my pipe, for different reasons of course. Great to know your journey, keep up the good work. 🤠
