As a mom of 2 boys in their late 20s on the autistic spectrum, I believe this boy is on the spectrum. His sister described him as querky, with obsessive traits, yet he did well in school. All traits of Aspergers Syndrome. Extreme behavior, anti-social, infexiibility, refusal to take responsibility, etc. are traits of Adult Aspergers untreated abd gone bad. He probably experienced some type of bullying in College, maybe cyber, maybe standard, but his identity as a cyborg, a strong, undefeated AI, is his way of taking back his strength after being bullied. Yes, disassociative disorder can come when a person with inability to deal with life stress, experiences some traumatic event. This is what happens when highly intelligent people implode. He has been stuck in his head without guidance or someone to question his thought process. Since he lacks someone to ground his thinking, he constantly questions paradoxes that have no answer, but which an average person would not question.... I heard him ask, "Isn't everyone delusional in some way?" While that may be true, the average person knows they are flesh and bone, not cybernetic beings. Since he has not witnessed surgery or physical injury to demonstrate our humanity, he is writing his own reality. His mother should never have sent him away. After remarrying, she should have helped him deal with the trauma with a mental health professional.

The absent father should never have left. His issues got nothing to do with the present parent. Criminal behavior and aggression in teenagers have a direct link with absent father according to research.

@sofialarsson638 Unfortunately, the world isn't perfect, and it happens. As a parent, his mother took the wrong approach, trying to force him to work through a mental health breakdown on his own. I'm sorry, but this is honestly neglect. She gave up on her son after remarrying, and I can't fault her for wanting to find her own happiness; you can't brush your child under the rug because she didn't feel like dealing with him.

@ Absent fathers do make a big difference in a person’s life. The impact of not having that guidance and support can be profound. However, accusing someone of criminal behavior simply because their father isn’t in their life is wrong and unfair. It’s important to acknowledge the challenges that come with growing up without a father, but it’s equally important not to generalize or place blame on someone for factors beyond their control. Everyone’s choices are their own responsibility, regardless of their family situation.
