I had to pay for my wedding rings for my first marriage. My first husband didn’t work for 90% of our marriage. He refused to take care of our child when he did nothing all day except play video games or watching TV. He was verbally, physically, mentally and financially abusive. there's no changing a narcissist. they don't want to change. therapy only makes them better at their gaslighting and manipulation especially if it's in a group/family therapy setting. the abused will open up and be honest about how they feel and what needs to change. the abuser will learn better how to manipulate every situation for their own benefit. if it's just the narcissist by themselves, they likely will be able to manipulate the therapist into agreeing with them unless said therapist is familiar with narcissistic behavior. unfortunately, some narcissists are so good at gaslighting and manipulation that even the very best therapists will probably fall victim to their abuse.

Comes from the childhood experiences, narcissism. I wish them both much love and assistance in trying to resolve this. I hope Dr. Phil is able to help them.

I married a man just like this, except he was highly intelligent, an expert in forging any documents imaginable, and willing to take out any person that got close to figuring out his lies. It’s a horrible experience that I can’t even put into words when you realize you’re married to someone like this. The fallout is immense. I feel so terrible for this woman, but am thankful her husband doesn’t seem to be willing to take lives to keep his lies going. She has one heck of a road having to coparent with him and I hope for the kids sake she can get full custody.

He reminds me of my ex husband he was a liar and abusive verbally physically emotionally and financially he would keep me away from my family and friends use me for all my money and hit me if i didn't do something the way he wanted around the house made me do all the house work pay the bills and the rent while he paid nothing took me 10 years to leave but now im happy with My new partner hes amazing and treats me the way I should have been treated all along 20:22
