Velodus reviews My Son Hunter (2022) in this edition of 𝗔 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 - a movie about the Hunter Biden laptop conspiracy that was produced and directed by far right personalities and released to Breitbart. The film, which had almost no budget whatsoever, starred Laurence Fox as Hunter Biden, John James as a barely-identifiable Joe Biden, and Gina Carano - fresh from being deposed as an actor in the Star Wars universe - as a security guard. Is My Son Hunter a respectable attempt to hold one of America's premier political families accountable, or is it a cringe-worthy piece of dreck that's a fittingly terrible representation of one of the stupidest conspiracy theories you'll ever hear in your life? The dialogue sounds like if you fed an AI Fox News/Breitbart articles from the last 3 years and then told it to write a script.

It really has some of the worst dialogue I've ever heard in my life. There's actually a 30-second sequence where Joe Biden randomly just starts reminiscing about Corn Pop for no reason, other than "hey, remember that time he talked about Corn Pop?"

Great to have you back doing another video. This was a fantastic choice because I have absolutely no desire to watch this but hearing people talk about it is interesting - particularly your point on the portrayal of Hunter and them unintentionally making him sympathetic. Fucking idiots lol.

Thanks man! It's so funny because the strongest play they have against Biden is to say that he's senile, but in order to push the Hunter conspiracy, they have to abandon it and instead pretend that he's actually a savvy mastermind who's running a crime ring through a computer. It's a gift that they're this fixated on his son.

Despite me having 0 interest in the subject matter, this was a very watchable video, and it was informative in my case as I wasn't aware of this controversy till now. I liked your score punchline (which I'm assuming is a joke, and that you don't actually rate movies from 0 to 1000).

If you told me this was a black dynamite esque film where it parodies a type of film making as much as the genre. I wouldn't call you on it. Bizarre sounding just from your summary.

There are totally points where it comes off as a parody, like some of the dialogue is so blunt and terrible that it's ridiculous. It could've worked as almost a political Reefer Madness if there wasn't so much talking in it.

Some movie was made that was like a parody biographic picture about Bernie Sanders and I would be really willing too bad it was the same brain trust. Just absolutely low budget meandering nonsense

good to have you back man! the thing I was wonder with movies like this one, do these people know what kind of turd they have on their hands? there must be a lot of people involved in the production. at least someone must've been like: guys, this sucks! kinda hilarious that they unintentionally made hunter look good here. thanks for your sacrifice watching this pos ;) now if you just could review another masterpiece: John Schneider's too die for. maybe?

Hmm, if I feel like reviewing another I'm-sure-is-bad movie to kinda break things up again, I'll keep it in mind. You pose a good question though. It's very hard to tell where the sincerity ends and the grift begins, because I'm convinced there's gotta be some overlap to make something like this.
