I feel like the reason it's easier to do a Shadow impression than a Sonic one is due to how doing Luigi is easier than Mario. Shadow requires less energy and you don't have to be as loud as while you're doing a Sonic impression which requires a more energetic and lively tone. Luigi is just pitching your voice up and sounding similar to how you'd think he sounds in voice clips while Mario requires more knowledge on how to control the accent and pitch in your vocal cords. Still, it's good to see someone else speaking out about their VA journey, and I'll gladly support your future endeavors!

Your Sonic really hits different, it's really unique while still being really close to what I like about Jason's Sonic (which is my favorite Sonic voice actor in english), and I like it having that difference, it makes me enjoy your Sonic more than the other 3 mainline voice actors, Ryan even Jason himself, and Roger too... even though he's my least favorite Sonic... don't get me wrong, I think he's a pretty good voice actor and has a kinda cool voice for Sonic, but out of the main 3, he's my least favorite, with my favorite being Jason himself (I mean, as I said, in english at least, because in general it's my GOAT Jun'ichi Kanemaru), but even though Roger is my least favorite out of the 3 I for some reason LOVE his in-game grunts and sounds he does in Colors and Generations, the little "Hah!" "Yes!" "Ye-hea!" "Woo-hoo!", "Huh!", etc. For some reason I just like listening Roger do those little grunts in his Sonic voice while I'm playing just as much as I love Ryan and Jason do on the gameplay as well, even if Roger isn't my favorite voice actor when it comes to voice acting the cutscenes with full dialogue. And some of those grunts you make while voicing Sonic still sounds A LOT like Jason, but sometimes some of your grunts slightly remind me of Roger, which is cool since I love his in-gameplay grunts and small dialogues anyway, I can hear your Jason really well since you studied him a lot and started to get the tricks to doing his Sonic impression, but since your natural voice can easily become Roger's voice sometimes with those small grunts it also sounds like Roger a bit, which again, isn't a negative thing because that's my favorite part about his Sonic anyway But moving on, I also liked how you make Sonic sound more younger, it still sounds a lot more like Griffith, but it has that younger vibe, one of my favorite things about the japanese voice of Sonic and Knuckles specifically is how they both really sound like teenagers, thing that I never noticed on any of the english actors and wish it was there (especially for Knuckles), it makes them really feel like they're from the age they are, but your Sonic perfectly makes that magic feel of Kanemaru's Sonic into an english version mixed with my favorite english voice Jason Griffith, it's basically a win-win, your Sonic feels like a mix of every of my favorite aspects from each Sonic voice actor, which is amazing to me I think your Jason Shadow on the other hand is a lot closer to Griffith's Shadow instead of his japanese counterpart like Sonic is, which also isn't bad, Jason's Shadow rocks just as much as his Sonic (even though my favorite english Shadow in this case is David Humphrey, not Jason, but he's my close second anyway, and I also like Kirk too)

My impression on people not liking the new voices for msa2 is that they're most likely just purists wanting the original VAs, but I'm glad you didn't take it to heart either way! you sounded great in it!

Im doing something similar, first I started with Mario to troll in online games like Roblox for fun, I didnt practice or anything, I just joined a game, turned on voice chat and did it on the go, but many ppl asked me if I actually was Charles 💀, now this motivated me to keep at it, im trying to do a Martin Classic Sonic Impression but I can't get it right... So i'll keep practicing, this video definitley motivates me more

I think a looot of sonic fans would like to learn those things, and only few people made tutorials about voice acting sonic characters. Now that I think about it, no offense btw, but jason griffith: loud slightly higher and obnoxious(if thats the right word) Roger: slightly low(now) and sarcasm Adventure sonic(I don't remember his name): high determined and obnoxious Yes this is how I see the voices no shade it's just my hearing is extremely good due to medical reasons im only legally blind so at least i won get arrested. This video really inspired me to do voice impressions and I'm 16 the first time I started voice impressions was actually this year in high school it started with shadow not modern but boom but the more I listen to Jason Griffith sonic and shadow the more better i got, my sonic impression is good it sound like Jason griffith a little but Shadow... i really nail down shadow and i love it i really hope one day i get pick up for a sonic fan project.

I am new to this channel and I gotta say. One thing you can be missing. I try to go for a Sonic Jason Griffith voice kinda like you I guess and it's not that bad really. In my opinion it just takes a bit more energy. Gotta talk louder. Obviously for the quieter moments you can't talk loud but I'd say just take the louder part to it and just put it to a lower volume so then I can just do Sonic at either an energetic higher volume or a lower volume. Fairly though. My first impression was Stitch lol. The Disney character. Funny little alien. I took a break and probably last year or 2022 as well I just then started to increase not just to Sonic, but also Shadow and even tried Eggman. I also tried characters that aren't even from Sonic. I'm just saying. Some voices take it a little bit louder. If it always feels off maybe try to feel a little bit more in it. What I mean by that is feel like your the character. Feel that you are Sonic or Shadow. Cause in my opinion and it works for me, I try to feel more like a character. I try to act like them. Portray the character. It worked out well for me. That's one thing I wanna say to all those who might wanna voice act some of their favorite characters! First you gotta get the voice down a little bit and then you gotta have the energy. Once you've done that then just *be* the character. And it takes practice obviously. I didn't get it immediately. But with practice, comes success. Good Luck on your future in Voice Acting ShibiPaffu and good luck to anyone who wants to try to voice act! One last thing. Remember to never give up!

honestly, when i was sick once i tried making a comic dub and i swear i sounded like Tails from Tails and Sonic R, but without being sick, i mostly can sound like Cream somehow, even though i keep practicing Tails' voice

thank you so much! as for my equipment, I still use the same standard Blue Yeti microphone that I started with, my voice is just naturally bassy so that might not be my mic necessarily Using EQ filters in your audio editing program helps a lot too

I use audacity so I'll look into toying around with the EQ filters soon :) I have been using a Snab HF-50 for a couple years now and I have been thinking about upgrading, thought about getting a Blue Yeti but I wasn't sure until I heard how good your audio sounds using it haha

There's (probably) a universe out there where I pursued a VA career or similar One of the few hobies I have that I often do in my spare time Not having any pc/laptop or audio equipment will do that to ya (that being, not pursuing anything)

Man, I'll tell you this: if you're much more comfortable sounding like Shad, then it's completely different for me, Sonic is much easier for me, and to talk like Shadow, you have to drink liters of milk directly from the refrigerator
