I don't understand my husband we been separated for 2 years. He says he dont love me anymore or has no feelings for me anymore. But he doesn't want a divorce when I mention im going to file for it. No sense being married if his love isn't there for me anymore.

My husband and I are separated after 23 years this came out of the blue for me. One minute he was telling everyone how much he loves and the next thing you know he wanted to separate. He claims he’s staying with a friend but then he back and forth at the house. He keep denying there’s someone else, he says he needs space and he just have so much going on in his head. To me we were fine he seemed a little withdrawn but we were still talking, laughing, going out with the kids, planning vacations. I’m so confused and hurt this feels like a slap in the face. It been 3 months and it’s gradually getting worst. I feel like this is a mid life crisis. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that. I would advise not to chase him. Keep your ground but don't be rude or confrontational. Let him approach you when he's ready. He could be manifesting avoidant personality. It could be a mid crisis as well. I don't think it will escalate past that. Men don't typically initiate divorce unless is something major

I'm right at number 3. My wife said she didn't love me anymore and that she was in a reciprocated love with someone else. We talked about it and she said she wouldn't be able to cut ties with him. Since I won't be able to be considered "number 2" to a woman I'm married with we came to the conclusion that divorce was the only way. 13 years of relationship and 7 years of marriage down the drain.

Thank you for your help Coach Lee! When my fiancé broke up with me a month ago, I was devastated and couldn’t believe that he left me. After a month of your videos and absolutely no contact and radio silence, 2 days ago, I lost hope and went on my very first date with a friend from work. Coach Lee, pls do a session on cheating partners' behaviour and how they try to evade trying to be caught, esp a serial cheat. Also, pls do a session on why some people grieve for so long after a divorce despite knowing the relationship no longer wanting the marriage anymore. It's been over 5yrs since our divorce (30yrs together). Deep down, I know I need to move on and is trying to do so but still seem stuck.

I think I'm abnormal. I don't really feel limerance to the extent that most people do. I feel interest towards someone, but what I really love is reaching the long term stability with a partner. When they become family. It feels that most people seem the other way around

20 years of marriage and then out of the blue my wife said she no longer loved me and she filed for divorce. She did not take up my offer for counseling as an attempt to salvage our marriage. Now in the middle of a nutty long divorce (10 months so far, and many more months to go); where she wants everything (house, 401K, retirement etc…) she has hired/fired her attorney and things are not going as she envisioned. Our 2 teenage college kids are just shaking their heads at her short sighted decision making and they’re trying to do their best under these ugly circumstances. … I chalk it up to midlife crisis, emotion-only decision making where she will eventually regret.

Thanks Coach Lee. My husband has numbed himself to me, is hiding away in an apartment, spending time with someone else and giving us very little opportunity to connect. I’ve tried all these things and he is just like a different person and thinks he’s gone past the point if no return. He has held his ground we are done for 6 months. I would appreciate some videos on immense stubbornness and how to break through fear of pushing someone to even have a coffee with you. Maybe I just let it go for good.

Question: I am in no contact (not wife) it’s been 10 days. We split because because my very long divorce had turned me into a needy reliant butt. I had moved to Florida from Ky a year ago. At the time I quit my job to do that with the intent of not leaving and finding work. However, I had to return to Ky to push this divorce through which caused me to just be destroyed. I believe, strongly believe I never fell out of limerence. How can I know? We have been divorced 20 years, married 20 years. I had almost 20 yrs depressed. The month we split I never menstruated again. And also he continuously called me and several times tried to get me to do romantic things like drinking wine, slow dancing,making love. And at the same time he was caught by her husband and me.He continued having an affair,moved out and saw her regularly. Explain that. We haven’t hardly said ten words to each other the divorce . I remember you saying that people could be in Limerence for years. My ex-husband did this several times where he would say that he would fall in love with me again, and then he would fall out of love with me. So he went back-and-forth staying with me, and then leaving. If he didn’t, physically leave, he checked out, so to speak. I could no longer stand the roller coaster. So we separated, and finally divorced. I am now with the love of my life. However, I’m still listening to your advice, as I will never let my guard down on that front. My current partner appears to be in love with me and he swears that he’s never felt what he feels now . He said he loves me and he’s in love with me. All I can say is that I hope it isn’t Limerence. But if it is, I’m somewhat prepared. We have been together for a year thus far exclusively.
