Great topic for this video. Definitely do more of this kind of video. Hopefully I will be having GRS one day and can use all of the information I can get. Mathilda I did watch your video. No, you are not a crybaby at all. You are a beautiful woman with real emotions. One reason why I believe transitioning is right for me is that I already have women emotions too. I also cried as you shared your story. Part of why I cried is the pain you went thru. Another reason is you made it. You are now the beautiful woman you are meant to be. Yet another reason why I cried over this is the people who hate those of us who have become the woman we desire to be, and those like me have not started medical HRT. I am terrified to tell my family & certain friends. I am in faith asking God, Energy Source Universe to open the doors & provide people who will support me. Much love Becca

I get a lot of different ansvers from well meaning people who hasen't been through this themselves. Stuff like it's super hard to maintain the cavity, if you don't "use" it or streach it out, and so on.

"Stuff like it's super hard to maintain the cavity, if you don't "use" it or streach it out, and so on." Hi! I'm 3 years post-op and I can say that this is only true at a certain point. For the first six months, I was rigorous in dilating, doing it twice a day. Then after six months I did it once a day. During the second year, I was doing it about three times a week. Now in my third year, I do it about once a week or even once month. I still have the same length. It's like ear piercing. You have to let the body get used to the cavity when it's still fresh.

@@ASTRA1564 The surgery itself it’s over $40,000 in cost here in the US I’m not sure exactly the hospital bill cost would be yet but here in the US you have to pay for your own medication and that is not cheap either by the time a person who is transgender get done we have nearly spent every dime we have probably for years to come if we get a loan which usually does not happen but then also it depends on our insurance what is covered most of the time bottom surgery is an elective surgery but when fight right against the insurance company they will cover me personally I am hopefully going to be getting my bottom surgery soon I am on Medicare and Medicaid which I shouldn’t if at all have any out-of-pocket cost to pay for my surgery I also do get my hormone blockers and estrogen free through my prescription insurance and I am also considering getting a boob job the only problem is that is an elective surgery and I have to try and get my insurance to pay for it if I can if I can’t I have to try and save the money for that procedure myself that’s as much as I know and as much as I can tell you maybe there are others that can tell you more otherwise all I can suggest is do some research thank you for reading my comment

This is so helpful. I'm researching SRS because my girlfriend is trans and hoping to get bottom surgery in the near future. I want to know what to expect. Thank you for telling your story, Mathilda!

"Going to the bathroom" ... isn't the physiology so different with that sphincter (valve) that allows you to stop and start to prevent accidents?

So... the numbing in your back thing... a spinal tap? Please tell me, honestly, how bad that hurt. Thanks for sharing all this btw, I love your videos :) You seem really fun to hangout with haha but anyway, yeah, the spinal tap numbing thing scares me more than the actual surgery....

It’s an epidural. Ask most women who’ve given birth, they very likely had an epidural.

Don't you have nurse call buttons by the bed in Sweden? Was it difficult or easy to pee at first? How long did it take for them to take out the catheter?

Yes we do, but it was broken, as I said in the video :)

Here in U.S. it costs about 50,000 dollars for grs,12 months off work, first 2 months after, you dilate 3 times a day 20 minutes each time, next 6 months 2 times a day for 20 minutes, then after that one time for 20 minutes every day for the rest of your life or you can substitute sex act,not covered by insurance and I can't take that much time from work and still have my job.

Roberta Williamson * Most every SRS surgeon throughout North America accept health insurance. Many accept both MediCare and MedicAid. Or you can travel to Asia. Dr. Chettawut is ranked among the world’s Top 5 SRS surgeons. A trip to Asia costs less than $15.000 - medical services, round trip airfare, recovery residence, food, sightseeing. Post-op recovery is usually about one month, depending upon your healing. Sitting might be sensitive for that first few weeks to months. SRS surgeons issue a doughnut pillow to sit on. Dilation schedule is frequent during your first six months to one year post-op. Beyond that, you dilate at your own decision. *

Are you happy with how it looks? How long did the scars last if it went away and do you think it looks exactly like a cis girls vagina or not completely. Also how much depth and how ur bf feels with it and you feel. Just curious because i just got mine done and would like to compare
