It’s all trial and error a lot of the time in cases like yours but it’s you going through it. It’s very frustrating. I think by you being so open its breaking down the barriers surrounding illness/disability etc. You are lovely, funny and very lovable. Keep going girl. You got this! 💜 r-a-r-e.co.uk

Imogen you’re so brave and a literally QUEEN 👑 I spent a lot of time in hospital between 13-15 and it was so scary. When I was 15 I was sent 200 miles to a specialist hospital for 3 months. Hi Imogen, just wanted to say I’m going through exactly the same thing right now and have been for the past two years. I’ve been surviving purely off colonic hydrotherapy and antacids for two. Whole. Years. My stomach doesn’t move on it’s own, there’s certain foods that if I eat so much as a crumb of I’m ill for days possibly weeks. I managed a 5 stone weight loss a few years back but my body is so swollen and distended now from my stomach problem that I have terrible problems with body dysmorphia. To me it doesn’t look like I’ve lost a pound. Plus constantly getting on the scales and seeing my weight fluctuate by whole stones in weeks just from water and blockages in my colon messes with my head as well, I could eat nothing but kale for weeks and not lose weight because nothings moving. Still waiting for my specialist. Watching these videos is giving me so much hope for the future. Thank you for being so brave and sharing.
@Suzirobson4 жыл бұрын
I loved this series so far. I had ulcerative colitis in my early 20’s & it robbed me of everything I had..job, house, friends & family. My specialist told me I had 5yrs to live so in 2010 I asked for an operation to have an ileostomy bag put on because I couldn’t take anymore. In June this year I’m celebrating having my bag for 10 year’s & being on this earth 5yrs longer than my specialist predicted 💁🏻♀️. Me & my husband are also hoping to bring our little one home in July (we are going through adoption). Having an ileostomy isn’t the best but it isn’t as bad as people make them out to be 💗

One of my worst experiences going to a doctor about sickness/stomach issues he asked do you get headaches? And I said no then he goes well it doesn’t sound like a brain tumour then! My heart broke watching these videos of you explaining your health issues, my daughter was extremely unwell at the start of senior school, drs after drs appointment even sent to a physiatrist saying the symptoms were because she was anxious and didn't want to go to school, then one night she was screaming in pain, I had had enough took her to the hospital and demanded someone look at her, thankfully the Dr listened she had a MRI scan and it showed she had 3 large abscesses on her bowel, was airlifted to another hospital, had drains in her stomach to drain the abscesses and was on a feeding tube for 5 months then had a bowel resection, was told if it hadn't been spotted that night she wouldn't of survived, this was CROHN'S disease!! She will always have it and is on a strict diet, she had the worst time with teachers and kids being mean, but she is now living life to the full, thank you for sharing your story, these invisible diseases are hard, X ❤❤❤

what an inspiration! you’ve shed so much light to me about hormones affecting the stomach! when i went on a contraceptive pill my stomach turned awful i’d get sharp pains and pass out and they never found out what it was, and now i’m feeling that it was the pill 🧐🧐

I think it's so amazing that you're doing videos about this!! As someone who has a stomach condition too it's so incredibly frustrating that no one understands, I'm always doubted even by medical professionals, even post diagnosis! It can be so lonely when you're just in pain and no one can ever really understand what it puts you through, even if someone has a similar condition it affects everyone so differently! When you spoke about the smelly ward it made me laugh, I was on a gastro ward after having part of my stomach removed and the smell is like nothing else, just indescribable 🤣🤣🤣
