@@organiccold I don't know much about supercharging, but it should be possible to mount a water jacket style intercooler between the manifold and the blower as I've seen a few such setups around - of course then it might not fit under the hood anymore, and no idea what kind of cost it'd be.

Factory air box draws air from behind the grille so you're correct in that it taps into lower IAT's. There's a reason that the factory who spent millions of dollars on R and D placed it there. Positioning the air filter in the fender behind the fender liner yields similar results.

@@ShizawnSanders What most fail to realize is that the most important thing is fuel temp. Yes hot air does make a difference, but it's small. Now hot fuel on the other hand, that really kills power. Aside from that, a bigger radiator as that would lower combustion chamber temps, which are just as bad as hot fuel temps.

My government : We should all drive small electric vehicles to save the planet so we are going to make it super expensive to even own any kind of petrol or diesel car to force everyone to go electric, we calculated that we can lower the emissions of the world with 0.001%, we feel this is totally worth it...At the tax payers expense offcourse. US government : Everyone should be allowed to own a large 8 cylinder gas guzzler, to zip around town in and petrol should be cheap. I bet if the US, got people to buy mid sized sedan's weighing half of these trucks, modern engines with 4 cylinders, it would make a heck of a lot more impact on the enviroment than us having to buy gokart sized cars with 3 cylinder, 1.0 engines or batteries... \Rant off

As far as your brakes issue, I found that with my 99 silverado I've had for the last 11 years the brake fluid being flushed out and slapping new hoses on it really helped. I know I'm not carrying the bed weight of your truck but, I can light them up on dry ground with no boost (truck has 266,000 on it now). The brakes hold tough. In a previous video you mentioned 2wd trucks in the Midwest... I bought mine in the south to bring home. It's been in metro Detroit its whole life with me and only 2wd (bought with the Z82 towing package, same coolers you have on your suburban). She hauls every bit of her 8200 lb limit....and then some (sh). The winter time brought me some concerns so here's what works: Changed the rear end out for true trac locker. No one wheel race car problems, and it won't spin the tire on a patch of ice for 2 traffic light cycles and people behind you get super mad. Don't ask. Tires: dueler at revos by Bridgestone, bfgoodrich AT TAs. Both have been great. My Michelin set now is a solid OK ish. A few pound in the tail end never hurt, but I got lazy and quit doing it. Having a 2wd 1500 with no factory traction control has never got me stuck in a Michigan winter and I'm happy with it overall. Great for towing and also still usable year round. Feather the throttle when the snow fights but she will move nicely.

The supposed factory manual for my daughter’s Mini are a couple cobbled together pdf files that miss all the important stuff and the Mercedes Star manual for my 1995 W140 S350 Turbo Diesel was a Mitchell knockoff of a 1998 S500 which they have pretty much nothing in common after the major update in the 2996 model year. I went to the website for the digital service manual that you posted. I see that the cost is $12.99 for the manual that you used. I then looked up the manual for a 2004 GMC 2500HD Duramax and it was $24.99. I was surprised at the difference in cost, Do you know what they attribute this to? I came home with my 2004 Duramax. It was running poorly and had a Banks Six Gun controller on it. I pulled into the driveway and shut it down. I went back out the next day and it cranks, but will not start. I was hoping to find the troubleshooting on this in the online manuals. Do you know if this type of thing is covered in both manuals? Given the price difference, is there a major difference between the two manuals?

I don't know I'm pretty disappointed you did all this work but you can't save your belt for more boost you have the ability to tune but there's no alcohol in it and you have a thousand horsepower LS car in the garage come on man. I think probably didn't even make stock horsepower with how its tuned. I'm not saying... I'm just saying... you know what I'm saying. It was my car I put a 7875 on it.

It’s silly, but I would love to see a lifted, prerunner 2wd build. That thing would be spectacular with a 6” lift, some 33’s, and (since it’s already white) some flared fiberglass fenders on the front. I bet there’s not a one up there in the Chicagoland area.

Dude, well done! This was awesome to see. You make really entertaining videos too. :) I'd still sell it but man, after this video it should go for top dollar.

A wet burnout?? Next time it would work better on ice! BTW I hate burnouts. A few seconds of burnout seriously compromises the tires........And wears them out fast.

Hey Alex, the link for the workshop manuals doesn't work. Where can I find that for an '05 4Runner? Thanks!

I tried to get a service manual from the suggested link but my truck is a 2017 Chevy Colorado ZR2 and the Colorados listed end at the 2011model year? Help

I don’t want to be a jack ass. But something is still vary off . You should be just smoking those tires . I would highly recommend checking the pistons and make sure it wasn’t slapjacks together . Have a nice day.

@legitstreetcars does that shop manual ova file you use cover the escalade esv or yukon xl at all? When I search that site, there is a PDF for 05 escalades, but the ova appliance for your link. Im guessing its just an image of ESI, but I'll get that one if it has the escalade in it as well.

Nice find - never would have thought swapped injector plugs... would love to some sort of intercooler install, but probably not worth the hassle. Meh, still a cool find and enjoyed the fixing of it!

Just as I was thinking, you better be careful, CC Forest Preserve Police love to patrol around that area. And then a CC Sherifs Police shows up...

E85 would be the budget way to get some of your timing back. Meth kit 2nd most budget choice. Air to water intercooler ftw though. Sounds like it could use a bigger ring and pinion set too. That wouldn’t cost a bunch, considering it’s a 2wd.

Too bad these repair manuals are for US cars... I wanted to get one for my C180 ('95) but all manuals start from the 2.2 or dont even specify for what engine they are and on top of that there is no preview on the website...

great tip on the manual, see so many people looking to forums for info a manual would have for them. Any old car / truck / motorcycle I get I also find the manual for them asap. My first car was an 85 monte carlo I got around 1994 before the web and wow was it hard to get the right firing order after we did plugs and didn't write down the order on the distributor... learned that lesson. Found a buddy with a shop that had the manual in paper form.
