Thank you Dish, i appreciate you still watching my vids. I usually just take my firearm for a walk these days. I have had many shots on game, and put the sights on a target and then put it back down. Said see ya to the game and walked on. I only take game that i need, for a good reason, since it gave its life. :) Take care and if your looking to fill the freezer, good luck.

All three are good options. Back in the day there were a lot of take down .22 rifles but they weren't sold with the survival moniker attached. The Browning Trombone comes to mind. The Browning SA22 is probably still pick of the litter but it isn't inexpensive. The Marlin Papoose was a good rifle but more complicated internally than the Henry or Savage, the Ruger 10/22 take downs used to come in a million flavors and aren't bad either. Merry Christmas Wayne!

Thank you man, i am liking these ones and i have heard of the others as well. I could not afford those lol. Have an awesome Holiday season. :)

@kullcraven I have all three you have here and a Trombone I was gifted at graduation by a lovely older lady from my church many ages ago. The SA22 has always been on my Lust List but just not yet! Edit: I almost forgot the new Savage .22 rifle is available in a take down as well!

Great review, it would seem that unless you mod the factory sights none of them hit the target properly
@kullcraven3 ай бұрын
Well in all these i had to mod the sights yup. LOL Tho not all are like this, i got the duds probabaly. lol. Take care buddy.

the marlin Papoose is a MUCH better rife, Wayne The sights are both on the barrel, it's made of better metal If you take the AR--7 apart and reassemble it a few times, the threads wear enough to let the barrel wiggle a bit and accuracy wiil be gone The AR's working parts are made of junk metal, too

I have heard that but im a hunter it will last me a lifetime, I dont shoot everything i see, and i rarely target practice. I do appreciate the heads up. Many have used and loved it for years . :)

I think you might be talking about the pre Henry models. I've had mine for over eight years and it goes together and shoots flawlessly. I do shoot the recommended ammo.

@@kennethgardner3090 mine works and shoots awesome, just needed to fix the sights. Lol

The henry us survival rifle can hold a third magazine in the receiver, and you can carry 24 rounds instead of 16 stowed in the gun

Pretty cool eh. :) Thanks for the info and watch.

In canada or Alaska, it's possible that you'll need a survival longarm, but in the US, that's a laugh Here, it'll be shitf and we can have a short-barreled AR-15 in 223, with a silencer, night sights, trigger job, scope OPTION, and a 22lr conversion unit . Aquila 60 gr subsonic 22 ammo, 60 gr Nosler Partition deep penetration 223 softpoints.
