You must have been crying when you lost the Boon! Cool vid, I don't think you can go past the boon in washy areas or ripped through open sections of reef. I've caught some serious fish metro in areas most people wouldn't think to fish! Crystal minnows work well in the Swan for me depending which colours you use 😊
@DangasTackleTips3 жыл бұрын
Yes was a painful morning!!! Will have to give tbe cryst minnowa a run👍👍

Steady solid sideways wind with the Richter Plug once hooked up. A favourite after learning they were not shy to smash them. I snip one hook off the treble (the downwards one to keep it sorta symmetrical), if I use them for Tailor because I find the third prong makes it impossible to dehook, and although there's two prongs left they usually are more easily retrievable without having to maim the fish to get the hooks out. Jumping is the thing to try stifle I reckon, they shake out cos of the weight of the lure.

Would be great if you made a video on how you like to fillet your fish?

With the twisty, do you just tie direct to your leader or do you use a snap or swivel? Enjoying your videos, thanks!!
@DangasTackleTips3 жыл бұрын
Hi Karl I tie all my lures except for poppers directly to loop knot on the flurocarbon leader 👍👍

Do you reckon there is any advantage to using stickbaits rather than metals for beach fishing? I only have metals since there are a lot of pricy stickbaits/hardbodies. If they are better though, I will probably go get some
@DangasTackleTips3 жыл бұрын
I think they definitely get a better bite, you sacrifice casting distance with the stickbait but worth it in the right winds
@shazandju2 жыл бұрын
Great video. Are you fishing most of your lures on the beach on the surface?
@shazandju2 жыл бұрын
Stickbaits I meant, cheers
@DangasTackleTips2 жыл бұрын
@@shazandju mostly mate, if not on the surface in the top 50cm of the water column 👍 if there is not structure and a futter will let it sink futher. Too expensive to snag over reef hahha
I usually go anywhere from maylands downstream mate. Will pick up in the spring if all the tailor haven't been washed out from the storm

@@DangasTackleTips Thanks mate. Just getting in to Surf fishing (Tailor) on Gold Coast . Want to buy a few Lures . Would you recommend your top rated to get me started ... appreciated
@DangasTackleTips3 жыл бұрын
@@targettstephen3924 Hey mate i would start with a savage gear missle (28 gram) as they are a top lure and only 8 bucks a pop if you are just getting into it. A richter plug is also a good lure that I have had a lot of success lately. Once you get into the groove I would get a few nice stickbaits mate
