good stuff bro, bought 20 savage missiles when they were on bargain bin, the silver one works a treat off claytons, haven't tried the blue one yet, always appreciate the in depth commentary, cheers

Do you use swivels at all when going from braid to leader?
@DangasTackleTips2 жыл бұрын
Not often as they can get caught in guides, but still works for a short leader 👍

Hey mate do you ever fish with swivels or snap swivels? Bought a 4000 nasci with a 10kg 7ft raider hoping to catch some tailor while im down in perth for three weeks 🤘
@DangasTackleTips2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate i usually just use the loop knot to join my lure but have mates that use them and still works fine. I usually just have a bit longer leader so i can change lures more. Good luck mate some good fish been caught around perth at the moment

Nasci is good reel mate, going to get a 5000 on the weekend 👍

Just out of curiosity - do you ever tie a PR knot for heavy spin stuff? I suppose a bit overkill for tailor but i used it a bunch of stickbaiting kingfish in NZ and will definitely use it up north if i have a crack at GT or large pelagics
@DangasTackleTips2 жыл бұрын
I have used it for jigging offshore on heavy line in the past mate. Probs awesome knot for chasing salmon off the rocks where the gear is a bit heavier

What length of leader are you usually running on the uni?
@DangasTackleTips2 жыл бұрын
About 1.5 m mate, just short of the first guide when casting out so it doesn't get caught on. If I'm fishing under 10lb leader I will have 1-2 rod lengths as less likely to get caught up 👍

Hey mate what beaches do you recommend fishing for tailor in perth
@DangasTackleTips2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate depends where you live. If close to freo rhere are good spots from port beach to Swanbourne. If more north most beaches north of ocean reef will fire If you fish around the structure or find a gutter. Trigg to north beach area is also good but lots of snags so need to look out for higher tides 🤙
